@QuizmasterLaw Stupidly dishonest? or Dishonestly stupid? Some throw this criticism as a roundabout wahtabout defense of fascism. The truth is that the invasion of Poland was a fait accompli, that the Western Allies could do nothing about it. Even if militarily they "might" have been able to snuff Nazi Germany out by launching a retaliatory offensive from France, that absolutely was not possible from a domestic political perspective. And doing anything against the Soviets coming in and taking their slice of the Polish pie (to which they had at least a valid legal claim), was even further from practical other than strongly worded letters.
