Mefepristone may or may not have completed clinical safety trials, but even if it didn’t, 20+ years of common usage have proven that it is safe. In the FDA approval of drugs, Mefepristone would not be the first that skipped some clinical trials. Some are skipped because of urgent need, to be completed later (as in this case, usage often provides the answer that a trial would have provided). Others are skipped because of desperate need, and a dearth of alternatives. Still others were never tested, because they were in common use before regulations were enacted. In all those cases, practice had demonstrated a high degree of safety, and in most cases, the use of those drugs has been permitted to stand, based upon that experience…

Anti-abortionists lie when they tell us they are concerned about the well-being of users, i.e. pregnant women. What they are REALLY concerned about is abortion. They want to stop the practice of abortion. The fact that they need to lie to present a case is a clue to its true nature. It is in fact a subterfuge to eliminate women’s right to ownership of their own bodies!

That’s $1M wasted, because the feds are going to make Abbott remove it… It’s ILLEGAL. The feds should FINE Texas a few million more for violating the law. I’d let a million immigrants into Texas for that, and prohibit shipping immigrants out of state, against their will. It should be a MAJOR crime to ship immigrants out of state.

No, the feds have done too much as well. Human migration, in response to political and economic pressures, has been NORMAL for 100K+ years. It is only (very) recently that countries have tried to control it, but they can’t. The need to immigrate is there, and it is not going away. To refuse to permit it is CRUEL.
