I love the combination of a lot of woods and farms, a sophisticated, well-educated population and a liberal state government, and of course there’s Bernie Sanders. May he be with us for a very long time. We need him!

  6. Bernie Sanders is one of the few truly honest politicians, and he is one of the few specifically dedicated to the welfare of the vast majority of Americans. That he has not gotten A LOT more support is just MORE EVIDENCE of the stupidity of the American people. We simply do not know what is good for us!

  7. I just heard Morning Joe Scarborough claim that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism! What a stupid misconception! Zionists are responsible for 75 years of grinding daily violence by Israelis against Palestinians. Zionists are responsible for the brutal oppression of 5M Palestinians, which is what FORCED a 10/7 to occur, which in turn precipitated the current GENOCIDE (which, BTW is an extremely disproportionate response, which qualifies it as genocide). So now Joe Scarborough doesn’t think they are responsible? I am shocked. Scarborough thinks the Palestinians are responsible for their own genocide? So it seems! I have never heard anything so twisted! When the state oppresses you and your entire society, brutally, IT HAS A RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF, AND THANKS TO THE US, ISRAEL CANNOT BE TOUCHED BY CONVENTIONAL MEANS. THAT MEANS UNCONVENTIONAL MEANS WERE NECESSARY, HENCE 10/7. So who doesn’t think that PALESTINE, AS MUCH AS ISRAEL, EVEN MORE THAN ISRAEL, HAS A RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF? Who doesn’t think that PALESTINE HAS A RIGHT TO EXIST? The Palestinians have been the dominant local population for more than 1000 years. They have far more right to that area than the Israelis, i.e. the Jews, who identify as Israelis and Zionists, who INVADED the area in 1947, immediately drove millions of Palestinians out of Israel and then blocked them from returning home, who have made themselves the enemies of everyone else in the ME. Israel has been monstrous! If hating Israel and Zionists for the crimes they commit, routinely, against Arabs, and for murdering now 32K innocents is hate speech, then so be it! Israel DESERVES to be hated! I used to love Israel. I still have a great appreciation for the Jewish people and culture, so long as it rejects Netanyahu and Zionism. HOWEVER, I cannot stand by and approve of the oppression and now GENOCIDE of 5M perfectly innocent men, women and children! I no longer love Israel, in fact, it has FORCED ME TO HATE IT. Hey, we all loved German culture until Hitler emerged. Then we hated it, until we could divorce it from Naziism. Netanyahu and Trump are the latest expressions of Nazi-like fascism! Hitler would be proud! We will continue to love American culture. We will try to correct its flaws, but will will not reject it. It is still one of the better systems on the planet. Please excuse my rambling… Israel must either adopt an equitable 2-state solution, or else, I say, IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT TO EXIST.

  10. Hamas was the monster in the beginning, but for a long time now, ISRAEL HAS BEEN THE MOSTER! We started out sympathetic to Israel, but NO MORE. Israel has shown us its true colors. Why is Israel so successful at killing Palestinians, even as it fails to destroy Hamas? The answer is simple… because that is its entire intention. I hope Israel knows that it has created millions of mortal enemies! I hope it knows that it has created 100 Hamas.’

  14. I hate to say it, but what Hamas did was NOTHING compared with what Israel has now done! As far as I’m concerned, Israel has rendered Israel’s suffering MEANINGLESS. Not only that, but Hamas’ action was provoked by Israel’s 75 year-long inhumane treatment of Arabs within Israel. THAT is what provoked 10/7. I say Israel was ASKING FOR IT. Israel is, in my estimation, about 1” away from forfeiting any right to exist it may at one time have had.

Any 2-state solution must include generous restitution to Palestinians and Palestine, as well as a favorable Two-State Solution, which must include an approximately equal split of Israeli land and resources, including military capability, removal of all security barriers and checkpoints, and the restoration of all Gaza infrastructure and architecture, better than before. Furthermore, Palestinians, and their families, driven out of Israel during the 1948 War must be permitted to return, and to reclaim their historic properties (anything less would be institutional robbery). Finally (or not), Israel must remove all illegal settlements in the West Bank and elsewhere, in areas not apportioned to Israel. It SHOULD cost Israel half of its territory. THEN, perhaps, there can be peace.
