Any complex, convoluted alternative explanation is a contrived lie, aka sophistry. Such arguments are intended not so much to make sense (which they have difficulty doing) as to confuse and overwhelm the opposition. Any objective, critical observer knows that Trump planned, incited, watched, celebrated and failed (i.e. chose not) to quell an insurrection, before and on 1/6/2021. How could he think he could get away with that crime? Recall, he is psychopathic billionaire. He has always gotten what he wanted, at the snap of his tiny fingers! He is, in other words, spoiled rotten! He thinks he is much smarter than anybody else! It should our business to show him he’s not.
