  1. Tedward is my kind of car reviewer. All (or most of) the cars he drives are among my long-time favorites, and he has exactly the right attitude toward them, IMHO.

  2. That nice “connection to the powertrain” is what MTs gave us. You had to be in tune with the engine and the road to drive a MT properly. It is what kept most of us engaged, which is not only fun, but it’s a safety issue! This Panamera is a wonderful vehicle, but that is largely because it has a lot of power (also a fine vehicle in general of course). I would be OK with an automatic, only if it has a powerful motor! Power makes up for a lot! I also hate the new big-grill BMWs (and I do drive a BMW, from the opposite end of the price range), which are, IMHO, UGLY.

  4. Regard the big BMW grills, will we get used to them, and come to like them, as we did Lexus’ and Audi’s, when THEY adopted bigger grills? I find it hard to believe, but I know I like THEM a lot better now than I did when they were first introduced…
