  1. That is a collector’s item if I ever saw one! Not only a perfect, almost brand new car, but also an ultra-low number! It would be a CRIME to drive it more than a tiny bit, to get a better sense of it. Otherwise, it belongs in a museum.

  2. Gasoline does NOT corrode gas tanks, but water does! Water condenses inside gas tanks, runs down the insides of the tank, and collects in the bottom of the tank, where it rusts the tank. That would happen in a junk yard, where the cap is off the tank, or more slowly with temperature changes, which cause the tank to “breathe.” Water gets into the tank in the air.

  4. How many cars in museums are aging? The answer, of course, is ALL of them, at exactly the same rate! Most old cars will have deteriorated rubber and plastic parts, which should be the first items replaced in a restoration.

  5.  @ryanb8736  The Americans in particular, along with the British made bad cars in the late 60s through 80s, which gave the Japanese the opening they needed. Over the next 20 years or so, from about 1970-1990, the Japanese companies made much better cars than we did, and practically took over the market.
