  1. Rahim does in fact seem to be happy! I am so glad for that. His life seems rather spare… I mean, there is practically nobody and nothing around, and no place to go, either! I too could enjoy some time in the wilderness, but not forever! Great place to spend a day or two however.

  2. Actually, Furnace Creek looks like a nice place, the heat being an exotic feature! The “Ranch,” a hotel, looks nice. With the museums (very interesting) and the golf course, there seems to be plenty to do… for a day or two. I will have to make a point of going there, next time I visit California!

  4. What the man meant I think is that at FC, it is so hot that AC machines can’t maintain 68°F! You’re lucky if they can make 80°!

  5. Imagine working in a kitchen, near a stove, in 128° heat (even ACed to 80°)? It might reach 150/110° in that spot!
