  2. In the US, all those mountains, in most cases, would be in parks. I suppose there are plenty of places one could live on a mountainside like that, in the US, but I don’t know where, and I don’t know how many people would CHOOSE to live there!

  3. I suppose the residents there are used to having tourists wandering around, sticking their noses into their business! I suppose we spend a little money in the local shops or restaurants… if any!

  8.  @retomarugg7471 It would be easy, if you came with a fat bank account! Actually, all those people are making a living. I think it is typical in Switzerland, you have to be established. Someone I know here in the US, a Swiss expat, says he could never go back. He says there are so many regulations regarding trades and professions, that you have, practically, to be born into them. He said he could never pass the requirements, the exams, get the permits, etc., to do just about anything in Switzerland.
