  1. If Musk claimed that by cutting off Starlink, he “prevented a mini-Pearl Harbor,” that would be beyond his authority to do! In any case, it is a lie. Ukraine and Russia are at war, a war provoked by Vladimir Putin, i.e. Russia. The US has taken the Ukrainian side in this war, so now, an enemy of Ukraine is an enemy of the United States. Ukraine is fighting anti-democratic fascism, the enemy of democracy and so the enemy of America. Ukraine deserves American support, requires it and must continue to receive it until Russia is driven back across its borders. To try to undermine US foreign policy in Ukraine, as by turning off Starlink, should be a crime.

  2. I have had the same feeling, that Musk has multiple personalities. On one hand, he’s a hard driven businessman, extraordinaire, having built at least 2 extraordinarily forward thinking companies almost from scratch. On another hand, he is a powerful visionary, who has done things that will profoundly affect society. On still another hand, he is an insatiable showman, who likes to make a splash. Who, having accomplished what he has, and made so much money in the process, would not have a big ego? On a fourth hand, he is sweet. He speaks of grand visions, electric cars and space ships and traveling to Mars! He speaks freely of his own feelings and emotions. And then, ON A FIFTH HAND, he is INSANE! He buys a large, expensive company for twice its actual value, loses $20Bn instantly, and turns it into a vehicle for fascist propaganda! The fascist in him is the worst. That’s at least 5 distinctly different Elon Musks, and there are no doubt more.

  6. In my kids’ schools, bullying is prohibited and almost non-existent. Pupils caught bullying are suspended the first time, then expelled if the bullying continues. Children who disrupt or destroy other children’s experience aren’t welcome in public schools. Their parents can spend $50K up a year for them to attend a private school (as required by law).

  8. Musk should not have the power to do de facto foreign policy from the comfort of his corner office, or whatever! He should not be free to make any changes, in matters critical to American foreign policy goals, without solid, government-approved justification, that are inimical to US foreign policy, or to those of our allies. What Musk is doing is tantamount to an American selling weapons to the enemy. It is giving comfort to the enemy.
