Just as all cities everywhere were lines up until the society they belonged to discovered means to get water from rivers to houses efficiently, something the wealthy Romans managed 2000 years ago but many third world countries still struggle with.

  9. No, corruption would be exactly the same as it is today - rife, there would just be fewer muggers, murderers or rapists as they would either be caught early or not allowed entry in the first place.

  10. But it wouldn't be the money maker that Saudi Arabia needs unless they charged an absolute fortune for licenses to use their fusion tech. If they perfected fusion today they would just make their one export worthless even quicker.
