That's like the cryonics episode of Star Trek TNG where they find 3 folks who were frozen back in our time and one of them is a jackass who witters on about money and stocks and how he's gonna sue Picard if he can't get put through to his lawyer.

There is an ego, and a superego and an id, they are the three parts of the human psyche.

"Now, you listen to me, Picard..."

Realive (2016) is a decent film about a man who gets himself frozen after he dies from a terminal illness and wakes up in a time where he is something of a celebrity but everyone he knew is dead.

You are confusing cell death with cellular destruction. It takes a few minutes without oxygen for a brain cell to turn itself off (what we consider to be cell death and why we use the term "time is brain" if a person is having a stroke) but it takes hours, or even days if a body is placed in a cool place like a morgue, for cellular damage or destruction to begin. This is a long enough period to prepare and freeze a body while the brain is dead, but intact. Before CPR you were considered dead when your heart stopped, today you are considered dead when your brain stops, but in 50 or a hundred years the legal term for death might only be when someone's brain is damaged beyond use because there might be a means of re-starting the electro-chemical mechanisms in the brain of someone who has been dead for hours.

Then where are the versions of us from the future? There's a paradox, it's not the Fermi paradox, but it's a similar paradox that states that time travel is impossible because if it ever existed at any time in the past or future we would have stumbled across at least one traveller by now.

Why would it be expensive? We don't even know if currency will even be a thing in a world where the dead can be revived, stop thinking like a capitalist barbarian.

Then what have you lost? You would have been dead anyway, it's just that this way you have the possibility of being woken up and cured.

Why would someone revive you if they were unwilling to help you adapt? If the future is a dystopia where people are unwilling to help someone they had just brought back to life then it is more likely they would simply take you out of the freezer and bury or incinerate you rather than revive you then let you loose to fend for yourself.

And why are we having sex wearing football helmets?
