  1. It amuses me that we still generate electricity from induction derived by the movement of a fluid through a turbine after 150 years of doing so but I suppose occasionally when looking for a breakthrough people sometimes stumble on the most efficient method first.

  6. Then fusion would never arrive because if you continually divide something you can go on doing it forever, infinitely dividing on and on and on. If a person chasing you is continually halving their distance from you then how do they ever manage to catch up with you? They will always be a "half of something" behind you. Dichotomy paradox.
