  1. Instead of transporting batteries all around the country maybe they can simply process them onsite at the swapping station in a mini-factory? After all we are living in the age of 3D printers and automation. You also wouldn't need to recycle the entire battery, just the aluminium anodes, so the mini-factory could consist of two modules - one that deconstructs and rebuilds the batteries and one that melts down the depleted anodes and re-forges them.
