"PASSENGER LINER! STRAIGHT AHEAD!!" "HARD LEFT RUDDER, REVERSE ENGINES!" "It won't be enough Mr. Murdoch -Wake the captain, tell him his iceberg has struck a ship!"

Oz is a nickname for Australia and Aussie (pronounced Ozzy) is a nickname for it's inhabitants.

@jacobrzeszewski6527 It's all about mass rather than speed, a 500,000 tonne tanker or cargo ship can cause horrendous damage if it runs into something at just 1 knots because it requires a massive amount of energy to change an inertia value of 1 knots to 0 knots in something as huge as a ship. You can either spend around 5,000 gallons of fuel to slow that ship down from 1 knots to 0 knots or you can let it hit something and let that something absorb all that energy.

We lost our flag ship, so no it wasn't much fun.

@amrak63 Landing exotic creatures on an Asian ship? They would get scoffed!

Probably children looking for Minecraft videos who think a dislike shows YouTube not to recommend such videos again.

@marrvynswillames4975 Japan survived over two and a half years after Pearl Harbor so I don't get your point.

@marrvynswillames4975 If a magic genie had hypothetically deleted every USN ship in the Pacific then the IJN would have sailed over and wrecked every US shipyard on their western coast. How then would the US have more ships than the axis come 1944? Had the Japanese fleet managed to cripple the USN properly on December 7th do you seriously think they would just sit around and let California and Washington churn out more carriers? No, they would have went after the shipyards themselves, then they would have blockaded the Panama Canal and the cape of south America in order to have complete superiority in the Pacific. The US only arrived at such a position of strength in 1944 because of how events unfolded, it was not an inevitability as you seem to think it was.

Makes me now wonder about the French fleet we Brits blew up and whether any of them were salvaged after the war.

Drach, in your description and here you call the harbour 'Pearl Harbour' except it should be Pearl Harbor without the u, it's the actual name of the base so it's a noun in this context.

As the unicorn is Scotland's national animal it shouldn't be a surprise that a ship built up here was named that.

The US not allowing the hillbilly states to secede in 1861 was a bigger mistake, Lincoln probably woulda been better saying "Goodbye then, don't let the Mason-Dixon line hit you on the ass on the way out."
