  4. Depends what you are into. Spending your only free time lying on a beach doing absolutely nothing is my idea of a hot, sticky nightmare and yet it's easily the #1 choice for most people. My ideal holiday would be a week somewhere wet, windy, muddy and full of animals like Nunavut in Canada or the Kola Peninsula in Russia, some place that reminds what my beloved Scotland was like before heatwaves and melted tarmac became the norm.
