@njineermike That reason being compassion, if we were not supposed to use it nature would not have given it to us.

@Stellarionas Yes it is, it is nature that gave us everything. You're not a religious nut are you who believes a god made us the way we are? Humans had to function in larger and larger social groups in order to survive and so we had to start valuing members of families that were not our own, that was the beginning of extended empathy towards humans we did not know or trust. Once we had sapience we could then recognise the value in any life form and so we developed compassion.
