You couldn't record CDs for almost a decade though, DATs allowed you to record digitally and that is why the music industry killed it off as a format.

Click! is in no way different to Tomorrow's World so that time clearly still exists.

I would use one hand to rewind the tape quickly like those football clackers you spin with one hand. Occasionally the tape would fly off the end of the pen and maim someone.

But 40 years ago instead of today.

CDs would not be recordable until around 1990 (and even then a CD-R burner cost about 10 grand) so if you wanted to record crisp music off the radio you went with DAT tapes. Which is why the music industry sued the format into ruin.

@DoubleMonoLR Because back then you had the choice of 4 channels, today you have hundreds - if something didn't grab you back then you stuck with it because there was nothing else on but today if a show doesn't grab you immediately you change channel.

I don't think this was the first time, I mean just off the top of my head I can think of Edison and Westinghouse touting electric lighting to Americans after seeing it in Europe at the Paris Expo.
