Comments by "Rob Fraser" (@krashd) on "American Woman Lives in UK for Health Care" video.
Yours is the first comment I have ever seen that mirrors my own sentiment, I too could not care less how my taxes are spent if it's for a good cause such as a kidney transplant or a lifesaving drug for someone. People who are anti-healthcare seem to only complain if their taxes are being spent on sick people but don't mind if their taxes are being spent on aircraft carriers. #FuckedUpWorld

Hammer 001 Her point was that people who don't contribute to NI also get to use it, but she's still a twat since the number of illegals that use the NHS is infinitesimal. And those "health tourists" who use it and fly home get a bill sent to their home nation - this is the one thing I would amend, if a nation defaults on it's NHS payments then folks from that nation should be treated but then taken into custody until a payment plan can be arranged.

Sadly the American way of thinking is creeping in over here slowly but surely. If you read the comment sections of the Daily Mail or the Express you will find that more and more people are starting to think that the NHS is no longer fit for purpose and requires "some level" of privatisation. It tends to be the same people that now revere Boris Johnson as some sort of god who will "Make Britain Great Again" which has me thinking that either the comment sections on those newspapers are filled with Tory/Republican bots, or that the wool really has been pulled over the eyes of many people, or people are so blinded with pro-Brexit feelings that they are now purposely championing anything and everything that also goes against the grain like Brexit did. Seriously though, you'd be sick to your stomach if you saw some of the comments posted by 'supposed' Brits - "Maybe it is time the NHS was dismantled!" - "You don't see American kids lying on their hospital floors!" - "Taxation is theft! Why should I pay for my neighbour's surgery?" All from Brits. Supposedly. For the first time in my life I'm actually afraid for the path this nation is taking.

In all fairness the UK system is perfect. If you have no money or you are happy to wait your turn then you use the NHS, if you are well off or you want to be seen by a doctor immediately then you buy health insurance from one of the dozens of insurance companies and then you get access to practically the same pampering as Americans get.

@kavic1234 If you go private in the UK by taking out insurance from BUPA, Vitalis, Benenden or one of the myriad of other insurers then you would also be seen on the same day and receive tip-top care. The NHS on the other hand is available to everyone.

@hicky If you don't like the NHS just go private, moron.
