The guy who got stabbed could just as easily have pulled out a bigger knife, or even a gun, and killed the store owner, then he would have given his life to protect a few nick nacks, in Europe we would refer to that as a Darwin award, or the height of stupidity. The cops are correct, if you want to risk your life by protecting objects that are insured then that is your prerogative and right, but the sensible thing to do is to protect yourself rather than your goods since you are more valuable than anything else in your shop and your family needs you around.

  2. And yet if your family member died to stop someone stealing what was in their cash register you would be saying "He should have just let them take it. He died to protect 148 dollars." I'm not saying you folks are hypocrites, just that you match all of the criteria.

  4. How fucking incompetent do you have to be to jump in when a suspect already has four officers and a good Samaritan restraining them? Did the guy who smashed him with the butt of his rifle think they were taking down the Hulk? You Americans seem to think you have too many regulations, but more often than nought it turns out that you don't actually have enough.

  5. He says he can respect the judge and her decision but really you can respect the decision but not the judge, if you let a career criminal with a history of evading court appearances out on bail then you are not fit to be a judge.
