  8. Nothing to do with YouTube, it's the advertisers, if your video contains certain words then advertisers won't monetise it. If Elon bought YouTube then he would just have two internet apps that lose hundreds of millions every year from lack of advertisers.

  9. There is nothing even remotely polite about the US, it's arguably the most backwards of all developed nations whilst also being one of the only armed developed nations. Rethink your slogans, chief!

It's no different to how a TV network might not want it's ads shown along side particular content, the only difference is that an advertiser can watch the TV shows it will be shown with but doesn't have the resources to watch half of YouTube and so leaves the decision up to automated checkers that analyse videos for certain words.

To be fair a ship's captain had to be educated in a myriad of things from navigation to native customs to diplomacy, there was definitely some selfishness there but he also knew their best bet for survival was with him leading them. At least that would have been the case had he not made the collosal maistakes he did later on.
