Still we've managed to crack every code ever created until around the middle of the last century so the person must have came up with some sort of 128bit encryption in a time when computers didn't exist.

It's by studying the stuff and knowledge of the time that makes us realise it as an oddity. At the same time that Archimedes was just discovering displacement another Greek was making a mechanical computer. That's pretty ahead of it's time.

No, he says mumfs, where he's from folks don't pronounce the 'th' sound.

It's an Essex thing, people think it's a speech impediment but it's actually the way those silly sausages speak.

It computes things rather than tells a time, that makes it a computer. It would need an energy source like a coiled spring in order to function as a clock.

Probably used a diving bell or a diving suit. We didn't get to go underwater for the first time when scuba gear was invented, we've had diving bells and diving suits for centuries...

Harvey Weinstein's little black book. And he's taking that cypher to the grave.

Can't you just go steal something and leave these videos for honest people?

Because it was found in Greek territory so there was likely Greeks on board the Roman ship getting a ferry ride.

Don't leave it in Greece, they will pawn it.

It's 365 days (and one quarter day) per year because it takes that long for us to complete one full orbit of the sun and return to our starting place, if you make a year longer or shorter then seasons will no longer arrive when you predict them to.

Begging on the street because you believe he shouldn't be paid for his work would be a lot more undignifying in my opinion. But that's just me, I've grown accustomed to being able to buy food.

Well done to the Muslims I say! Any culture that can destroy something 600 years prior to their existence must obviously have developed working time travel. Any other historical inaccuracies? Maybe Genghis Khan sinking the Titanic? No?

When you finally get a job you will be a sellout. Or good luck eating that imaginary food you plan to eat by "sticking it to the man!"

It's because sheeple think they are special if they can say "Ooooh, we saw that viral trending video! The one that has been watched by 7 billion people! have you seen it?" Delicate little cupcakes that they are.

It's nothing to do with intellect but capability. Just because you put Doc Brown in the wild west doesn't mean he can make you gasoline because a hundred things have to be discovered before gasoline. Why do you think Archimedes and Leonardo weren't building iPhones and jetpacks? Because being smart doesn't give you unlimited knowledge and there are multiple steps to every discovery.

Because he was correct, people do that when they are right.
1
Then it means the book must have been empty for a long time...
1
You would still be able to see if anything has been corrected because they still used correctional fluid back then, but it was probably something like squirrel cum instead of Tipp-Ex.
1
Naw, he was screwing at the time.

Carbon dating can tell you exactly when something was built just by firing some radiation at it and seeing how much is absorbed and how much is reflected because of the carbon half-life.
