  2. That's not a lack of car knowledge, that's a lack of a piece of specific trivia. I imagine 99% of drivers wouldn't know that the enormous lump of steel that makes up most of the car's weight is designed to disintegrate on impact unless they were told by someone, such as now.

  3. How do you know they were good? They would be pretty stupid to buy a $15000 BMW from a car dealer when they could find a $200 BMW at a scrap yard so what makes you so sure they were stupid instead of clever?

  5. A fractured fuel tank and a spark, but only with petrol/gasoline, a diesel can't explode. You'd likely have to hit it just right though because it's trickier to ignite gasoline than people think.
