Accident investigators have to watch much worse footage over and over again frame by frame, also picking through wreckage, examining bodies and listening to recordings of the last things people ever say. That has to be a tough job.

I had a lengthy conversation with a cop once where I was telling him to lay off drunk people (he and his partner were outside a bar giving people lectures while handing out bangles) and he described to me an event where a drunk hit another car with a family of 5 in it and how the fire department had to wash down the road to remove the blood. It sobered me up, made me sick and made me empathise with this guy who was almost brought to tears as he said that one of the kids was ages with his son. Made me realise cops don't do what they do just for fun.

@PRH123 Your analogy is stupid because an FLARM is cheap and all of the cheapest safety features a car can have (seatbelts, airbags, ABS, etc) are now mandatory.

The undercarriage of a Cessna carrying three people struck the rotor of a helicopter carrying six people, the Cessna lost control and hit the ground while the helicopter lost it's roof and fell out of the sky. Seven of the nine people died. The pilot of the helicopter and one of his passengers were wearing GoPro cameras and this is the footage from those cameras at the moment of impact. I believe the Cessna was flying over the alps when the helicopter that was flying low popped up from behind a peak and before the plane could take any action it sheared off the top of the helicopter.

@PRH123 Not as unpleasant as when someone puts forth their opinion as though it is fact. Name calling might scathe you but misinformation shapes our world for the worse and that affects all of us.
