@sztypettto Nazi Germany wanted to be an empire with colonies in Africa and they knew that the UK and France would never tolerate Germans on the African continent. Hitler wanted to make peace with the British in the same way he wanted to make peace with the Russians... to bide time until he had the forces to defeat them. A five year old could have told you that. Did you think the Afrika Corps were just sightseeing in Africa?
