Technically we voted "not a deal like this" but we obviously were going to need a deal at some point, they are our major trading partner and I'd rather get a deal now while we have stuff to bargain with rather than get a deal later when the vultures of the world are picking us apart to get whatever they want.

  3. A first referendum is just as moronic, putting a decision like this to a public that don't know the first thing about what they are voting for? What's next - steel mills asking the public what the best mix of metals is to make an alloy? The navy asking us where about to fit guns on the new frigates? I mean while we're all about putting intelligent, serious decisions to a bunch of ignorant Daily Mail readers then I don't see why not. I'll get reading up on metallurgy...
