  1. I wonder how many countries around the world have done an inventory of what confiscated goods they have stored in their ports? My guess is absolutely zero, because even after a catastrophic event like this people will still have the familiar "It won't happen to us." helping them to ignore it. I mean the same thing happened on Cyprus in 2011 when a few thousand tonnes of confiscated ammo that had been left in the sun exploded, it was just 125 miles from Lebanon and was the largest non-nuclear explosion of the 21st century until this one happened last year. You'd think such a big blast might have stirred the Lebanese government into action, but that's hopeful thinking...
