Especially since they know it will mean Russia turning off your gas supply. It makes this decision a lot more impactful, it shows that the German people are putting what is right ahead of what is right for them.

Ukraine has a military, we haven't just been giving billions of dollars of the world's weaponry to people on the street.

It was the Brits who growled at the Germans but that is not what changed them, they had to rewrite some of their laws that stopped them from taking action in a conflict and that took a couple of days.

@mike-cz6rh Or she could just check out any news channel, any news website, or any newspaper anywhere since they are all showing what is happening on the ground in Ukraine. There is a time and place for conspiracies, Mike, and this isn't it.

In fairness the past 77 years of complete abstention from war was Germany showing that it was no longer attached to it's past, and if anything supplying weapons to a conflict zone will just ignite fierce debate in the German government for years to come but at least it was the right thing to do.
