@wailer27 Because it's completely impossible that she married someone Nordic and took on their surname isn't it? Yes, a totally unheard of practice.

@neilpemberton5523 Yep, same in the UK, it's hard to vote when both main parties are led by numpties, Labour is supposed to be a socialist party and yet it's led by Sir Keir Starmer. Out of touch leadership of all parties seems to be the current thing in the US, UK and Aus.

+lovenativemaricanmen There are countless English accents and dialects, you move 10km in any direction in that country and you need to learn new slang and pronunciation. Compare the Beatles to Daphne from Frasier or Michael Caine, or god forbid Sean Bean...

@larswhitt1549 Very few puritans in this audience, the NYT is liberal. You're thinking of the conservative half of American, the ones who support Trump and believe the Earth is 6,000 years old.
4
@MickeyFKNMouse Very true, a two horse race where one is dead and the other diseased.

He also lied to the Queen's face, 100 years ago when the royals still had some power he would have been shot for doing that.

We didn't vote him in, we can't vote in the PM, we can only vote in the party and he was not the leader when the party was voted in. It's ironic as Tories call the EU undemocratic despite the fact their voting system is far more democratic than our own. Tories love their lies and misinformation though so you can't teach them.
2
Well he would need refuelling after that outburst.
2
We were first as recently as 2020 since the EU economy would be the largest on Earth if it existed in it's own right and we voted to leave it while half of the world wants to be in it. Well, I say "we" but I mean the twats in top hats who fooled the working class into thinking they're the "people's party".
2
That's what Ukraine did with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he was a comedian similar in style to Jonathan who ran for president as a joke and he won by a landslide. He's now the president and Putin hates him because he tells the truth and insults him.
2
HOOKER'S LOVE CANAL FILLED WITH TOXIC SLUDGE - is a headline that probably didn't get used at the time. Shame.
2
That was an anti-Toff rant not an anti-British rant. You should watch the video before you comment and make a fool of yourself.
2
@deborahdanhauer8525 Their 6-second attention span?
2
@artoruvidal2793 It's an explosive and in most countries explosives are illegal. I imagine in the US they are probably protected by your constitution but you'll be arrested in a civilised country if you're caught with an artillery shell tucked in your sweatpants.

Authorities in NYC are told to inform anyone that asks that it is the subway, although every major city has a subway and theirs doesn't release steam :D

Kuymal Gamma wave radiation versus alpha and beta particle radiation. The only gamma emitters are the actual reactor core and any large metal objects like vehicles which were either pushed in to the core before it was sealed or retired in large vehicle graveyards, these areas are all off limits because they can harm at a distance. Everything else though was blanketed in radioactive dust in the form of alpha and beta particles, these can't harm you unless you inhale or ingest them so as long as you don't kick any dust up in someone's face or try to eat any plants or animals you will be perfectly safe.

+MissMangoMovies He has a strong Welsh accent, it won't come out unless he's either in private or playing a Welsh character.
1
Little Beach, you clearly know nothing of socialism other than the tidbits Fox News feeds you. And you gobble them up greedily like a good little automaton.
1
Fabrise Morvan and Robert Pilatus.
1
The British public didn't elect him...
1
The Pie, the whole Pie and nothing but the Pie! Always a breath of fresh air this chap.

She is the exact equivalent of the President, she is the head of state of the UK and he is the head of state of the US. We don't have a president and prime minister like most other democracies, we instead have a queen and a prime minister. The US for some unfathomable reason decided to merge the head of state and head of government into a single role like most dictatorships do.

Cars were no different 40 years before the collapse, same rough weight, same rough speed and same rough number on the roads.
1
No one voted Boris into power, he just succeeded Theresa May after her resignation.
1
He's already done Biden.
1
I call him Worzel Gummidge. I'm always expecting straw to be poking out of his cuffs.
1
Yes, unless you are gullible and are told what to think by your ill-tempered, compulsive liar of a president.
1
You spend almost three quarters of a trillion, not a half.
1
Jonathan might be a character but his rants are always on point. If you want comedy turn on the news, if you want the truth find a comedian.
1
Trump is gone because you had an election, we have not had an election yet - or are you stupid enough to think that all nations vote in new governments on the same day? Seeing as you're American it wouldn't surprise me.
1
They are rich aristocrats adored by the low-IQ right-wing masses, in the US you just call your aristocracy "elites".
1
They are not all liars, you would have to be the world's biggest cynic to think that.
1
Everyone has to eat, also I don't ever remember him saying he was the comic equivalent of Fugazi, if someone offered you a few grand for 15 minutes of work you would take it and you know you would.
1
It's all completely true. Boris is an invertebrate who refuses to resign.
1
No, we didn't, we can't vote for party leader we can only vote for the party and BoJo was not the leader back then.
1
We don't vote in a leader, only the party.
1
Cheers mon! Welsh Eggs are pretty good to if you remember not to eat the bowl. 👌

I don't see how this is greener since steam and electricity both require the same thing to generate them and that will be whatever fuel is used to boil the water, be it coal, gas or uranium. I do see how taking the turbines and generators out of the equation reduces loss but steam loses even more energy in transit, it basically heats the ground and subways below Manhattan through escaped heat. Scepticism aside though it is a very cool and unique system that is an integral part of NYC's image as no movie set in the big apple would be complete without that one scene of a steam-filled alleyway.
1
Who set the withdrawal in motion? Oh that's right, Trump did.
1
No we didn't, we do not vote in the prime minister, their political party does and when we voted in the Tories Boris was not their leader.
1
Even if only 916 people turned up to vote, so long as 51% vote for something then it means 51% of the country voted for it. That is how cross-sections work and how marketers survey stuff.
1
How could the economy be better after Brexit? We left the EU during a pandemic that is still ongoing so our economy nose dived and is still down, clearly you have only been alive for two years if you think fuel is cheaper now than it was in 2019.
1
I think Porkies or Pork Pies must feature at least five times in every Guy Ritchie movie. 10 times if the movie features either Jason Statham or Dexter Fletcher.
1
Most idiots think that.
1
I'd love to see a debate between Alan and Jonathan, I bet it would end with Jonathan trying to murder Alan with a shoe.
1
Rural Brazil? so the bit between the Caribbean and Argentina then?
1
He had a toe tag with his name on it.
1
Head of state of the United States = Joe Biden Head of state of the United Kingdom = Queen Elizabeth Educate yourself, you'll make a fool of yourself much less often.
1
Except we Brits can't choose our leader, only the party and Boris the Turnip was not the leader when the Tories came to power.
1
Or how a test and trace app could cost 37 billion.
