If you call 999 for an emergency you do not get harassed with a dozen questions so stop pretending you were a cop.

  25. The IL-76, like any other 4-engine plane, can easily stay in the air with one damaged engine so I can only guess that that aircraft had a lot more damage than just the flaming engine. It was possibly hit by a missile but the video says it "ran into difficulties shortly after take off". Curious.

  28.  @shaun2463  That would make the address come up instantly, but even if you are not known on the emergency system a trace takes no more than 5 to 10 seconds so his address would appear on screen shortly after the call started.

  35.  @artfulsaladdodger  the flight computer does it all, the pilot puts the heli in auto-hover and then the loadmaster in the back has a joystick and a screen showing a downward view where he can maneuver the heli with precision to drop each bag. The pilot just gets the thing there and back.
