@X00000370 They were not socialists by their own definition, Hitler despised socialism, he was in and out of court throughout the 20's because his brown shirts kept beating them up and killing them. The Nazis portrayed the idea they were socialist in order to get votes and in order to get elected because socialism is what the working class man in Europe wanted in the 20's and 30's.
