No doubt Leonard is one of the best ever. He is definitely the best p4p in the modern era, since home video became available to the common man worldwide, around 1980. That fact alone also makes his a credible argument for being the best p4p outa all eras, seeing as even amateurs had tape of each other since then, something Sugar Ray Robinson or Ali didnt have to contend with, not that they couldnt contend with it, its just that Leonard proved in his amateur & pro career that he was on their level but they never had to deal with fighters who had tape on them the way Leonard did.

Given the era, I dont thing age as a number in itself is that important due to the fact we now live in a completely different sociopolitical climate, life basically is better today, especially in terms of sports science & the quality of life we have at home, at rest. Leonard was 13 years into his pro career here, comparable to Lennox Lewis & Roy Jones in 2001, Andre Ward in 2017, Oscar in 2005 or Mayweather in 2009. In some ways at the peak of their powers but with not much tread left on their tyres.
