  1. Poland too is being processed by the EU Commission through the European Court for not having an independent judiciary. They stand with Hungary & Hungary stands with them whenever a veto can be exercised. However they can do nothing to prevent other member states sanctioning them & cutting off diplomatic relations with them & now they are being de-funded. If that state of affairs continues Poland & Hungary, acting as Russian Trojan Horse States can only harm the Polish & Hungarian People who have voted for their national leadership so its hard to have any sympathy for them. As this plays out we will see the effectiveness & integrity of the EU processes & from this they will identify if any amendments needs to be made to any existing treaties in order to continue to protect the core principles of the EU.

  3. We cant expell them from the EU but there is procedure & process in the Lisbon Treaty that means they effectively can be suspended from the EU. Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union

  5. The EU is only getting stronger. Its has met every crisis it has faced impeccably & displayed its quality in the face of adversity, as it is doing now by implementing its procedures vs a rogue member state/Russian Trojan Horse State. If it was destroying itself it would be acting outside the remit of those processes, not strictly enforcing them. So far, the EU has passed every challenge it has faced with flying colours. A+

  7. Yes, suspend democracy & justice every time Russia demands some attention. But wouldn't it be more efficient to just beg Putin to become High King of the planet & rule us directly ?

  8.  @adrianczaplinski7774  Hungary has only been a member since 2004, by that time there was already a single currency in place & since its inception the primacy of European Law over domestic law on matters that conflict with the core principles of the EU has been established in the courts since a case in 1963, its an unconditional term of membership. Jonny come lately, AKA Hungary knew all this when it applied for membership, just like it knows how to trigger article 50 just like Britistan did. Also in the wake of WW2 the European Court of Justice was established & the European Convention on Human Rights has been enforced throughout Europe through that court system since before the EU existed & Interpol existed before the EU & Europol.

  13.  @reneprovosty7032  Proposals are made by the Commission, the Council & EU Parliament then debate those proposals & then be voted upon in Parliament. Whats not transparent ?

  14.  @reneprovosty7032  All EU law making stems from the EU Treaties. If it contravenes an EU Treaty it is not recognised as being legal. Your problem isnt with the EU, your problem is with democracy.
