@tabbysmithfield3794 It has some pretty scenery & postcard worthy main streets in a few of its villages but thats about it. If you're not politically principled, enjoy basic anti social alcoholism & lack a general sense of a social conscience I suppose if you could put up with the weather you could enjoy a few golf courses, some sea fishing n angling its rivers n lakes for salmon n trout ? I dont think it has anything much worth commenting upon that anywhere else in western Europe hasn't got.

@tabbysmithfield3794 Theres a difference between being genuinely conflicted & offended & being a regressive, tyrannical, antisocial trouble maker. Im not American or in America but I am Christian & was raised in a more puritanical, violently bigoted place than puritanical America. Christianity isnt just an American religion & American culture/law does not define its moral boundaries so what culture or creed within the political jurisdiction of the USA can genuinely claim to be offended by the wearing of swimwear at a beach other than Islamic fundamentalists & perhaps the Amish ?

@tabbysmithfield3794 Northern Ireland in "the good old days" We managed to get some kind of pretend political process in place there to improve things in the 90s so Im pretty sure the Democratic process is stronger & more respected in North Carolina where believe it or not its residents/citizens/voters are more politically astute with freedoms to assemble, associate & express political opinion without genuine fear of death or physical, financial, social harm. Whoever is pretending to be offended can be challenged, debated & voted down easily if its only tiny minorities like fundamentalists. Unless yer happy enough to accept the utopia that Trumpism has been so far n are happy to surrender all rights n accept your collective dehumanization. I kno America is capable of better than that.

In my life Ive never seen Yanks so happy to be unhappy & so fragmented. The saddest thing about it is I still think he was the better choice than Hillary. What's even sadder is the Democrats are so weak right now it will probably take an assassination to prevent Trump sailing home for a second term. I think its symptomatic of global politics, Ireland has been under a one party dictatorship for over 5 years now like it was 100 years ago & had an unelected premier for most of those 5 yrs. Britain is resembling the miserable disarray it was in during the late 70s early 80s & has all but lost watever political credibility it had in Europe if not the world. I believe USA can recover from Trump n its aftermath but it will take heroics, I dont believe it could have recovered from Hillary, it woulda been too far down the slippery slope of being a UN refugee camp. Trump is a necessary evil if the USA is to have a future, its ugly, it might get uglier but hes bad medicine n maybe provoking a powerful new generation or two.

If you or any other hate filled idiot has a problem with good people wearing swimwear at a beach n then want to use the excuse that you want to raise your children in a so called decent way then I suggest you keep your precious nature hating children away from beaches.

Im sure Syria, Sudan n North Korea are worse but they aren't sitting at the arse end of a common law culture that includes, North America, UK, Australia & New Zealand, it could n should be a hell ova lot better but maybe its just part of the process. This generation has taken a Nazi turn. That will have to run its course now & I expect in 2 or 3 generations from now they will be appalled by Americans today n you will see a rebirth of Liberty & traditional American values, it might get ugly along the way but when it comes out the otherside in perhaps another American revolution it could n should be magnificent.
