  1. There should be one at least every 4 years seeing as there are 4 recognised portions of the World title. WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF should be legally forced to put their champions in a tournament by the TRADING STANDARDS authorities to stop them making fraudulent claims about who is the best PROFESSIONAL fighter in that weight class & conning the public. #EndFraudNow

  2.  @ima831  Who was Bivol, Beterbiev or Vossyk when Ward was fighting ?! The only one left for him to fight was Stevenson & for whatever reason, that fight didnt happen. As for Kovalev, my own reaction on the night was that it was a HOMETOWN Decision if not a robbery but there was no doubt about the second fight & after hearing Ward talk about the first fight in which he acknowledged it was close, my own opinion on it mellowed, I still consider it a hometown decision that Ward was lucky to get but it was close & Kovalev did fade.

  3. Theres something about Ward, same as Sugar Ray Leonard, no matter what they achieved, no matter who they beat, people still underestimate them ! James Toney dismissed a question about how he would do vs Ward, saying he would KO him. Bullshit. Its easy to say, but once yer in there with a man who hasnt lost a fight since he was 12 yr old, Won national titles & an Olympic Gold as an amateur then went unbeaten in 2 weight classes he was World Champ in ? Reality BITES, & it would bite Toney the same way as it did when he fought Roy Jones who came through the same amateur levels Ward did. Toney was a great boxer but so was Ward & Toney isnt KO'in him.

  4. Ward gets a lotta shit talked about him but, Abraham, Dawson, Froch & Kessler were no walk in the park. Any fighter in history who came through unbeaten in an era with that level of competition would be classed an all time great, but add to it his 2 fights with Kovalev, THE KRUSHER , a Soviet Cyborg, a DESTROYER, considered a p4p top 3 who was unbeaten at that time & its time to S T F U & give Ward his due. Also, before those career defining tests, his tests along the way were no cherry picks either, Miranda, Bika, Green were no joke & then he moved up in weight n took an unbeaten Barerra as a warm up fight for Kovalev at LHW. Ward wasn't spectacular but he was G R E A T , an Irish scrapper, a slick American sweet scientist, a W I N N E R . #IrishAndreWard
