A British citizen, born, bred & educated under a Union Jack gets recruited to a paramilitary group by its leader, an ambitious, loyal, hard working, tough, non commissioned officer from the British Military who had been recruited/promoted to British Military Intelligence Office 5 CrAzY stuff right there. You wouldn't see tha likes ov it even in a James Bond movie, eh Paddy ?

The real key peace maker was Trimble. They made huge concessions, historical concessions to build a genuine peace. Adams played a key role too, one that took bravery but not near as much bravery & integrity as Trimble displayed on behalf of the British Loyalists in Ulster. No Trimble, no deal & he was 100% aware of his bargaining power. Adams only had to appease dissident Republicans who were a tiny minority within a tiny minority on an island wide deal. Him & Hume began the process, thats their legacy & its an honorable one but when it comes to key peacemaker's, Tony Blair should be made patron saint of Anglo Irish politics & David Trimble isn't very far behind him. Blair bent over backwards for Ireland & Trimble went the extra mile time n again to secure a successful, progressive, prosperous future for his people.
