I dont see where he beats any of em but I do think he & GGG would be competitive in that era.

Its a softer, less competitive era.

@J.C.117 Welterweight Duran was just as high tempo, just as ferocious, sadistic n spiteful n just as poisonous a puncher as lightweight Duran was & lightweight Duran is considered the best lightweight of all time. Canelo was a champion at Welterweight. In his first fight as a Middleweight Duran became the first of only 2 men to take the Champion Hagler the distance & hes the only one to do it over 15 rounds. Middleweight Duran went toe to toe with 3 weight world champ Iran Barkley n took his title off him with pure contempt. Light middleweight Duran didn't just tear the title away from Davy Moore who was considered the next big thing, he broke him as a man, gave him a spiteful boxing lesson in the art of destruction. Make no mistake about it, Roberto Duran is a genuine all time great.

I don't think Canelo could do 15 rounds with anyone let alone doing 15 rounds vs any of that fab 4

@J.C.117 Duran, Benetiz, Hearns, Kaloule, LaLonde who all fought Leonard in their primes tell a different story. Who else has KOd 5 reigning World Champions ? Leonard was a killer, he understood his value in contract negotiations. He was no diva.

Watch Marvin Haglers championship career then come back here n tell us he wasn't invincible.

You obviously haven't seen Sugar Ray Robinson. If you did your statement couldn't be so confident.

@nomorebs3626 In saying that, this is a 12 round era, we have never seen Canelo trained for a 15 round fight but we have seen him in some great 12 rounders. Ya gotta assume if he can get it right tactically over 12 rounds n not gas out then he would also get it tactically right & not gas out in a 15 round era either. Gotta give him the benefit of the doubt, he has earned it.

Nathan Cano Roy Jones Jr at 160 obliterates Mayweather too. Difference in Hagler & Jones Jr is this... Marvin was street, school of hard knocks, you win today & you watch yer back tomorrow. His attitude was that no matter wat, no matter how tough it got a champion always had that little bit extra Roy was sport. Roy came through the amateurs, came outa the Olympics as a wounded hero. Roys attitude was that a champion always had a LOT extra. Different eras.
