Hagler was talking about coming outa retirement in a ringside interview alongside Leonard after the Hearns vs Roldan fight in 1987. The words came outa his own mouth, the video is on Top Ranks channel. He just didnt officially announce it until 88. Whgat do you want from Leonard, he isnt Haglers sugar Daddy. He said he was coming back for one fight after 5 years laid up on the sofa & thats what he did, he kept his word.... OOOHH THA SHAME !! Leonard offered Hagler a rematch but Hagler decided to stay retired. LaLonde was a reigning LHW Champ, yer talking about him like he was a nobody. When did Hagler offer to move up n fight a LHW Champ like Hearns & Leonard did ? When did Hagler rematch Duran & Hearns like Leonard did ? When did Hagler fight Benitez like Duran, Hearns & Leonard did ? Hagler wanted it handed to him on a plate & when he got it he couldnt take it.

IBF Had a SMW title since 1984 & The WBA had one since 1987 And you are holding Hagler to a lower standard than Hearns & Leonard who both ignored the SMW titles in preference for the more prestigious & historically significant LHW title.
