Its idiotic to allow current contenders to fight for a BMF title. OK Max had an epic, legendary win over Gathje in a fight that wouldnt have happened but for the BMF title but Gathje or Porier shouldnt have been fighting for it. Its a belt for veterans with something left in the tank but not enough to make a push for the title. Guys who have just about done everything EXCEPT fight for or win a World Title in their last 10 or so fights. After beating Gathje, who beat Porier who is now fighting for the title, then the only logical or fair progression for Max at 155 is to fight for the title, after Machachev vs Porier. Other than that, is he is still fit n healthy at 145 then he should be next for Toporia, which he was anyway before any BMF fight, despite Princess Volks romantic demands that Toporia wait faithfully for her to return.

How do you qualify that the #1 ranked guy is the #1 guy & not the #3 ranked guy? No such system is in place, Its the Champions job to fight the best of the rest, not the #1,2 or 3 ranked guys' job, therefore a matchmaker is required.
