Shavkat was given a title shot on the strength of beating Wonderboy. Buckley has now beaten both Wonderboy & Wondergirl, I don't see why he shouldn't be next in line now that Shavkats due date for that title shot has past.

Randy Couture was stopped on a similar cut vs Vitor Belfort, it was a legit stoppage. Im all for a blood n guts scrap to the finish but I dont wanna see a man get permanently injured & have his entire life altered, even if he is competing in a martial arts based simulated death match.

@robbys100 I hear you but win streaks without a top 5 scalp mean nothing (unless you have a permanent member of the UN Security Council in your corner, making things happen) & in that respect Shavkat was unproven, he needed Wonderboy to give his run credibility. I wasn't against Shavkat getting a title shot, Ive been super high on him since he put Geoff Neal away, however, that was then & this is now. Buckley is the hotter commodity in 170. The sell by date on Shavkats title shot has passed & now its open to offers, or at least it should be, if it is to be taken seriously as a sport.
