The don't like to make the goats jealous ya see, it turns their milk sour & that then leaves em nothing to put into their dandelion tea & no goats cheese to spread on their sawdust bread. Its actually very clever of them not to interfere in the "secret" cultural romance that goes on out there, up in the mountains, when there's not enough "brothers" around to massage each other & have steamy baths with.
