This is a fight you need to watch at least twice, once to appreciate what Hagler does & once to appreciate all that Duran is doing.
For the Spice Boys of Generation Snowflake who talk about fighters downloading data & playing 3d chess, this fight is an all time classic.
If you never seen Hagler before & just heard about his Hearns fight you will be left thinking, "this cant be the same guy". Thats because typically Hagler is a very patient, very skilled very tactical DEMOLITION EXPERT , he takes a fighter apart piece by piece. When the going gets tough he GOES TO WAR but unless you can put it on him like Mugabi & Hearns did, then he feeds you up with a big, hard to digest serving of SWEET SCIENCE until you can take no more.
In that respect, you could argue that this is his career defining performance, this is the best version of Hagler we seen, because of all he had to do, all he had to try, just to stay in control of the fight, which brings me back to Duran. Excellent performance by him too, maybe not quite the demonic evil genius Duran that we seen vs Polomino, Ray Leonard 1 & Davy Moore, & not quite the crafty veteran Duran we seen vs Barkley but still an excellent example of how great he was, because of who he was in there with, which brings me back to Hagler.
Time & again Ive said it, Hagler is the most complete boxer of the modern era.
He has it all, Lefty, Righty, Attack & Defense & he has everything in between too, great athlete, fearless courage, huge heart & will to win & he can put it all together in a single round at the World Championship level vs (at that time) a 3 division World Champ & P4P legend, DURAN
Hagler had to repeatedly dig deep into his big box of tricks & tactics in this one, trying to shake something loose on Duran whos hands of stone & crafty counter punching & excellent timing were keeping Hagler respectful for all 15 rounds.
This is a GREAT fight boys, if you love boxing & kno what yer looking at, its a 15 rdr between 2 all time greats, its up there with any great 15 rounder that went before them.
Hagler, watch his sublimely smooth stance switches while on the outside keeping Duran off balance mentally & physically but more importantly watch as he enters the danger-zone, hes going in attacking in one stance n exiting in another, looking to land something sneaky. Its BEAUTIFUL boxing.
Check out how at times he leads with his cross, check out his lead hooks to the body & to the head on his entries along with his famous jumping jab, Im sure a young Roy Jones Jr did.
Look at his combinations on the inside, how he doesn't over throw his big punches so as not to sacrifice his balance, look how he varies his attack & how he varies the power of his punches to set up his big punch.
Look at how sometimes he used the ring like a boxer/puncher looking to jab n move then how he applies the pressure like a Mexican Pressure Fighter. In some of these rounds you are looking at 4-6 different fighters when you are looking at Hagler, the man was near impossible to prepare for coz you never knew how he was gonna attack you or how he would be likely to defend & counter against you.
Its just a fact of life, whoever stepped into a ring vs Hagler was automatically second guessing themselves from the very first second of the opening round to the very last second of the final round. anyone who fought him, especially when he was Champion had to be firstly & foremost TOUGH which is why only Leonard & Duran managed to go the distance with him & nobody who fought him went on to better things, only Hearns, Duran & Leonard managed to have a career after fighting him, he absolutely DESTROYED everyone else, he took their fighting spirits, chewed em up n spat em out. He was a NIGHTMARE
Hagler had it all boys. If Wilfred Benitez was "The Bible of Boxing" during the same era then Hagler was "The Encyclopedia of Boxing"
RIP Marvin

The question is, why doesn't he have KO power!?
He trains everyday yet his punching technique remains crap, his set ups are non existent, singular jab with nothing behind it until he musters the courage to follow it with an ineffective right cross.
Theres absolutely no reason he couldn't have polished his punching technique, his punching set ups & attacking tactics by now. He's lazy, entitled & has settled for what he has got, namely a system of fighting that gets him to the final bell.
What you see is what you get from Strickland, & thats mostly a jab thats just a jab & a teep kick thats just a teep kick, backed up by good cardio & an ability not to get hit clean when in the pocket.
I like Strickland, to a degree, but he has gone from being slightly underrated to being criminally overrated.

@CC-ff7ft
Thats what Im saying, Hagler BROKE him.
I dont think you quite get what that means & as such I dont think you quite get just how damaging a fight with Hagler was for a career.
NOBODY except Duran, Leonard, Hearns & maybe Obel weren't absolutely broken by him, NOBODY went on to better things after fighting Hagler except maybe Leonard & Hearns who won the LHW titles from reigning champs.
You had to be an ALL TIME GREAT just to survive an encounter with him.
Hagler broke potentially great fighters & Mugabi is the prime example. That fight was do or die, more so than the Hearns fight, the Mugabi team specialised in getting a fighter at the right time, they had an upset win over Duran with Kirkland Lang & they famously dethroned Donald Curry in a huge upset when he was considered the p4p #1. They smelled blood in the water & were 100% convinced they had Haglers number. Only one man was making it to the final bell & Hagler had to dig deeper than he ever had to in his entire career to get it done, it was a fantastic performance by him on almost every level, Mugabi was a hell of an opponent that night & dont forget his amateur pedigree, he medaled at the Olympics & boxed in the final, he was a top TOP class prospect & could easily have became the face of boxing if he hada beat Hagler.
Big Obel won a world title after fighting him & was was a KO monster before fighting Hagler too, like Mugabi but unlike Mugabi his fighting spirit wasn't smashed to smithereens by Hagler.
Hamsho, Sibson & Antufermo were capable of holding the title n defending it, all 3 of them had their careers stopped in their tracks by Hagler, he took them to another level n what they seen about him & about themselves in those dark waters left them permanently changed as fighters.
Hagler was a MONSTER. He was unbreakable, He beat every opponent he met apart from Leonard.
Make no mistake about it, Hagler had no fear, not of Hearns, Mugabi, Leonard or anyone else, he was the real deal, tough as hell & as stubborn as a mule. All the 4 Kings were cut from that cloth, they feared no one & they hunted down the biggest fights, Leonard especially, they all made big fights without him but when he was on the scene the whole sport sizzled.

I'll tell ya what boys, Tyson Fury, serious, focused, using his length, punching with his whole bodyweight, man, hes a PROBLEM.
Im seeing shades of Tommy Hearns, a few classic KRONK GYM techniques in his shadow boxing. Having Sugar Hill there is one thing but having the talent to take it n make it your own is another.
Fury is that naturally gifted hes doing it from both stances.
As I said, if he can be kept focused, serious, his potential is damn near unlimited, especially in this era.

Modern era HW's?
Mike Tyson never competed in MMA, he was/is a boxer.
Its a different sport, as Ngannu found out, the hard way.
Tony Tucker, Larry Holmes & Frank Bruno are equally as tall as Ngannu & Mike Tyson disposed of them.
You cant carry MMA weight/bulk into a World Championship Boxing Ring vs a mobile HW who weighs around 220lbs like Tyson, Usyk, Holyfield, Ali, Frazier etc because if you cant get them outa there quick, their superior stamina & strength endurance will catch up to you.
Boxing is NOT MMA, MMA striking is NOT boxing, they are complete different sciences.
If you needed surgery done on yer brain or yer heart you wouldn't let a paramedic do it would you? No you would get a specialist, a surgeon.
Boxers are surgeons, MMAsts are paramedics.

When the next general election is held in Britistan, whichever party that campaigns on the promise to re-enter the customs union & commit to abide by EU food standards, is going to win by a landslide.
But in saying that, they're Britistanis, being centre of attention is more important to them than anything else, so its hard to predict.
I don't think the EU should allow them to rejoin until they have abided by food & custome regulations for 50 years, then a smooth transition back into the fold but first they have to attain "Brexit in name only" status, then maintain it until all their decrepit ego maniacs who thought Brexit is a good idea, die off.
I mean, anyone or any group who allows Nigel Farage to lead them astray deserves nothing but the misery, frustration, poverty & social decline he lead them into.
Lessons must be learned.

Heid The Ba'
Scots are Gaelic.
Their indigenous language & culture is Gaelic.
All their town's, rivers n mountains have Gaelic names.
Scotlands name in Gaelic is Alba, Alba means Britain, not Scotland.
There is no Gaelic word for Scotland, the name of a partition created by a foreign military.
Scotland is British because it is Britain.
Scotland does not own the Gaelic language n culture & nor does Ireland, its something God gave to us, the indigenous people of Europes Gaelic/Celtic Islands, to share n prosper from.
So yes Scots or more accurately indigenous people from the north of the Gaelic island Alba do have a connection with Ulster, just like they have a connection with Connacht, Leinster & Munster. Not to mention the Isle of Man.
So once again, Northern Ireland is not British It is Irish by geography & Gaelic by heritage, by British politics it is Northern IRELAND, not West Britain.

R F-"Miss Hand, did you see mountains outside & think you were in city centre Dublin?"
Plaintiff-"No, I cant remember small inconsequential, irrelevant details from that horrifying day, due to being plied with illegal narcotics for 6 hours by your client"
R F-"AHA!! So do you acknowledge that Mr Lawrence & Danielle lifted my clients legs when he was asleep, & let me remind you that you are under oath Miss Hand!"
Plaintiff-"No, I dont agree with that due to being plied with illegal narcotics by your client I cant remember minor, inconsequential, irrelevant details from that day, I only remember the causes of the injuries I had to go to the hospital about, which my medical evidence confirms 100%"
Aye, hes doing a splendid job for McGregor, no doubt about it.

@rocwyvern1101
Alex was creepy close to his niece Melanie & to Lori, even killing one of her husbands & electrocuting another with a tazer, like a jealous boyfriend fighting off love tivals.
He obviously had regular sex with Zulema seeing as he married her so that leaves only his relationship with Melanie Gibb to be highlighted.
Daybell has no sexual or even a close relationship of any kind with those females other than Lori.
Looks like Alex targeted him to be the scapegoat.
Daybell is a lifelong squeaky clean goody two shoes, hes no ring leader, evil mastermind or genius.
Alex & his gaggle of "Conquests" targeted Daybell, lured him in with sweet talk, a honey pot n then buttered him up as being some kinda great prophet, which impotent mid life crisis Daybell needed to hear.
Alex is the lynchpin, ring leader, kingpin in all this.
Daybell is just about as pathetic as he looks n sounds to be in court.
Alex was a stone cold lowlife, not just the way he killed those kids but how he chopped em up afterwards.
The guys a serial killer.

You get 5 mins to end a fight. At most you get 5 banks of 5 min opportunities. Sometimes injuries happen & you have to go into damage limitation mode & still try to win the fight, via the safety net, the social security if you like, points system.
Theres no doubt Sandhagen got injured, just like there is no doubt he spectacularly finished top 5 fighters like Edgar, Moraes, Yadong & he didnt wimp out against former Champs Yan & Dillashaw. Theres no easy fights in the UFC, theres DEFINITELY no easy fights inside the top 10 in the UFC where everyone you fight is either a contender, a former champ or someone who is about to take a major scalp n become a contender.
Therefore what he did vs Font, same as McGregor did vs Holloway, is that he adjusted his tactics, overcame his injury & won ugly.
Its a part of what makes MMA so great, theres 1,000 ways to end the fight in 5 mins & perhaps from a martial arts perspective whats even more admirable is that there are 1,000 ways to survive, to stay alive, until help arrives.
Sandhagen is one of the very best out there.

Everything about his boxing was elite.
Ring IQ off the charts, heart, finishing instincts, stamina, speed, power, footwork, big game temperament.
No matter who, no matter when or where, Leonard made it his fight, he did it to Duran, Benitez, Hearns, Hagler.
In terms of talent Roy Jones is very close to him, but Roy didnt have Rays finishing instincts. I think you have to go back to Sugar Ray Robinson to find a fighter as complete as Leonard.

@Svhopowa
Listen, Chavez was a great fighter. He fought the best of his era, some top TOP quality fighters like Whittaker, De La Hoya, Meldrick Taylor, , Rodger Mayweather, Hector Camacho.
Julio Cesar Chavez is an all time great, no doubt about it.
Him vs Duran at LW woulda been an all time great Rivalry.
But has there ever been a more ferocious, more demonic, more sadistic, craftier LW than Duran ?
No.
Fighter of the Decade for the 1970's.
And he only had Carlos Monzon, Jose Napoles, Muhamad Ali, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, George Foreman & Larry Holmes for competition for that title. 😏
Fighter of the decade for the 1980's was Leonard & Duran holds an epic world championship victory over him.
1980's Duran, Duran above 147 was a faded, jaded crafty veteran version of the ferocious, sadistic, famished demon he was in the 1970s.
Im a big fan of Chavez but hes not quite in Durans league.

Since when did being a champ who lost his title in his first defense, in a fight that wasnt even close, guarantee you a rematch ?
Even in his first title reign, he did absolutely nothing to Romero, Cannonier, Vetorri or Whittacker 2.
Its not like he was Anderson Silva or Jon Jones & leaving nobody in any doubt who was the champ.
This is the USADA era, Superman no longer exists. Anyone in the top 10 should be capable of doing what Strickland did, otherwise whats the point of having a ranking system ?
This is a GLOBAL sport, it isnt a local amateur tournament where this one local kid has the edge on all the others. Its talented fighters from all over the world who are well prepared & wanna play King of the Hill.
The sport needs to move on from the Cash Cow, fight fixing, protecting our investment model n let the sport breathe n develop. Pimp the title, not the champ.
Strickland didnt win by a lucky punch, he won because him & his team seen Vetorri do 8 comfortable rds with Adesanya without taking a backward step, they seen Whittacker make adjustments in their second fight & display that a well rounded MMAst could beat him & they seen a raw novice MMAst Periera walk him down for 4.5 rds & get him outa there.
Adesanya has been EXPOSED.
Time & Again.

He wont crumble, he proved he is real vs Emmett, he will be there until the end, but I fancy Max to have too much for him, similar to how Volk had too much for him, except Max hasn't had the ridiculous schedule that Volk had.
Also, Max looked WAY bigger than him at the ceremonial weigh in. He wasnt just taller, he was easily as thick in the arms, shouders & across the chest.
Dont be be surprised if Max has too much power for him. He obviously did the weight gain for Gathje the right way n nailed his weight cut.
He reminds me of how big McGregor was at FW, you couldn't fit one more ounce of muscle onto him at 145, he is the epitome of a full sized FW right now.
Comparing Toporia to Gathje Id say Gathje has better footwork. Toporia hits hard because he swings hard n to swing hard he plods forward looking to set his feet.
Max has all the tools to make this fight look easy & give Toporia a very painful, & possibly concussive. reality check.

@Lee-bz2xn
He more than likely trained with music.
Skipping for sure helps but to me skipping gives coordination more than rhythm.
Shadow boxing, especially to music would give him that dancer look (that I thought you seen) that I see when he fights & its when hes flinching n feinting n bobbing before he attacks you can see his rhythm, hes reading your reactions/body language but with Hagler each flinch, feint or bob he made gave him 4 or 5 attacking options on you, where as a good/great boxer, as opposed to an all time great one like Hagler was, may give himself 3 options.
Hagler was just so versatile & very difficult to successfully attack tactically/consistently & he was equally offensively good. Ambidextrous in both attack & defence & he fought with a beautiful balance between the 2.
100% dedication to his craft, hours upon hours shadow boxing then sparring, applying & then fine tuning the concepts he had been thinking about during every quiet moment he had.
Hagler was no accident or no fluke, he was kinesthetic intelligence & tactics, more master craftsman than artist.
A Demolition expert.

@357twilson
Tell that to Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis, Mercer, Klitschko, Wilder, Joshua, Usyk, all of which medaled at the Olympics & all became HW Champ, 6 of them undisputed, 3 of them unified 2 or more belts.
Yea, amateurs dont mean a whole lot.

Ya gotta give Canelo his due.
Hes done his homework on all the greats, taken a little bit from this guy n mixed it with a little bit from that guy.
Hagler made very few mistakes but nor does Canelo. Nobody today can, did or does maul him n nobody from Haglers era would, except maybe Tommy Hearns who could possibly keep him backing up like GGG1 did but doing it from long range #HitmanStyle.
People ignore how well rounded, versatile & complete a boxer Hagler was, because when it was time to do or die nobody was tougher than him but before it got to that point in the fight Hagler was the epitome of systematic. Breaking a fighter down piece by piece, (Something Canelo does expertly too)
Hagler was every bit as effective bein an elusive boxer puncher as he was being a seek n destroy demolition expert.
He wouldn't maul Canelo for two reasons,
1: Canelo is genuinely great, just like Hagler is.
2: Hagler was no goon. He never rushed the finish (Hearns fight aside). He was a demolition expert, he made sure he had weakened the whole structure before he went in to bring it down.
Go look at Hagler v Duran.
Duran done enough with his trickery n tactics to keep Hagler respectful, Canelo would do the same.
Hagler may need to get up on his toes, use the ring n keep Canelo off balance to create those openings.
I think Hagler would beat Canelo but it would be a great fight, or series of fights.

. @Sfsew
You are confusing fact with fiction now.
I am talking about Law as in legislation made in a Parliament by democratically elected representatives.
Im not talking about folklore, superstition or rules you made up down at the local disco when yer dancing around yer handbags & complaining about men. Im talking about politics & I am doing so from a common law jurisdiction under a video posted by a German/EU media outlet that has to abide by EU law which like common law jurisdictions draws upon the previous rulings of Judges when deciding on whether or not an action, a rule, or a law is in fact legal. Therefore an action, a rule or a law must be reasonable & in compliance with previous court judgements, treaties & constitutions, otherwise its not legal, therefore it isnt a law, therefore to try to enforce it would be a criminal act punishable by actual law.
That's a legal fact, its not an opinion, unlike your flowery notions about free will & what people do or dont know.

@baronvonlimbourgh1716
Look at who is running Britain, look who they have in charge of Northern Ireland.
Irish people, north & south are intelligent, honest & hard working, economic prosperity has never been their decision, nor the lack of it their fault, it has always been a matter dictated to us by the British Military Dictatorship.
The powers that be in London only need to Agree to the Customs union they were a part of for 48 yrs & export to the EU via Belfast & its pre brexit business as usual. with a BOOMING Scotland & Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland because of it.
But this is about traditional business as usual, British oppression in Ireland. The politics of Hate.
The only problem that exists is the problem they have created & are policing & maintaining.
N.I has no chance of availing of any opportunity on its own accord.
Perhaps you are mistaking, I never said that NI would or should unite with the ROI, I personally dont think now is the time for political upheaval in Ireland but if change is necessary then NI should secede from the UK, become an internationally recognised nation & apply for EU membership, unification with the ROI can happen just as easily if not easier going along that route.

@DaBIONICLEFan
The point is human dignity, human rights & human development, which cant because it has been & is being actively & deliberately prevented from happening & developing by the British Military Dictatorship.
Look how many nations safely & prosperously share a border in the European land mass, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Belgium etc, etc why should the British landmass be any different when they have proved to be a democratic failure under the current regime ?

Was the part the defendant claimed that the cops were his friends edited out since this comment was made or did scarecrow 7695 hit the nail on the head ?
Judging on the evidence its a pig ignorant moronic comment.
The cops were cordial, polite, professional & gave the man absolutely every ounce of dignified due process he was owed.
Granted they didn't suck his cock but not only didn't the defendant claim they were his friends or that he was owed a debt of friendship from them but he also didn't claim they were his lovers.
Its a prejudiced moronic ignorant comment making light of the fact a family man was killed in front of his wife/partner & his children for the crime of buying snacks.
The defendant was treated well by the cops, he was treated in a neighborly fashion, he was given all the due process any man could ask for & justice was served, in the end.
(Perhaps he can appeal the sentence, 20 years seems harsh. He was an armed asshole imitating a police officer but he was pushed hard to the ground without warning n the victim looked like he was gonna follow up until the gun was pulled at which point the defendant made up his mind to take action A if the victim didnt take action B, namely repent & retreat. We dont kno what was said but once a weapons drawn n the situation remains unchanged it must be near impossible not to use it in the heat of that moment)
Its a victory for democracy & the rule of law in Florida if not the USA but CMS Sultana thinks its just an opportunity to make glib comments n jump on a prejudiced bandwagon n scapegoat.
Absolutely moronic shit, democracy needs to take action to prevent dumb as dog shit immoral scum like her from voting.
Its a tragic case on many levels, most obviously so on the victims side, his young family have suffered a horrendous loss but have also received the love n support of their friends & family.
The defendant had his cross to carry too, the man is obviously overcome with an inner hatred that forced him to brandish a gun on numerous occasions, the final occasion resulting in the death of a relatively innocent man (maybe he shouldn't have walked up to a stranger in a violent armed society n shoved him so hard he knocked him to the ground without a word of an introduction).
Its a human story.
Its a tragic story on many levels.
Its not a joke, no matter what low quality scummy cunts like CMS Sultana want to laugh about.

Rd 1: Porter
Im in agreement with all 3 judges
Rd 2: Porter
Anyone willing to try to explain what Crawford done in rd2 that all 3 judges gave it to him ?
Porter applied all the pressure & more than answered the 2 moments of quality that Crawford had & picked up all tha bits n pieces that were available.
Rd 3: Porter
Im in agreement with all 3 judges
Rd 4: Even rd.
Im tempted to give it to Porter, Crawford had a marginally higher quality first half of the rd, landed one or two bits n pieces shots on the counter but nothin devastating & Porter was scoring marginally too.
2nd half of the rd was all Porter. They musta scored it to Crawford for that failed check hook that landed on the back of Porters far shoulder.
I kno judges dont have the camera angles I have here but it was clear the punch landed behind his head & therefore wasnt a scoring punch.
Looks like the fix is in, all 3 judges although they have different viewing positions scored it for Crawford.
Rd 5: Porter
It was closer that it looked, Crawford started it well, scored nicely with his left cross. Porter came back into it winning the bits n pieces while applying the quality pressure, then had that big final minute but if yer a Crawford fan you could say he rescued it in the final 10 secs with his response.
Rd 6: Crawford
Im in agreement with all 3 judges. Lots of scruffy, scrappy effort from the scruffy, scrappy Dog of the Division, Porter, but Crawford landed enough quality to take it.
Rd 7: Even rd.
All 3 judges gave it to Crawford but I dont see what he done to convince them. HE landed one or 2 left cross's but Porter landed one or two lead hooks in the same part of the rd, then Porter picked up the bits n pieces on the inside & Crawford had a decent final 10 secs but not enough of anything to win the round on the strength of it, if I had to pick a winner Id give it to Porter.
Rd 8: Porter.
Crawford showed some nice quality in the opening minute but rested on his laurels for the following minute n paid for it in the final minute when Porter well n truly had him on the run. If porter was a better finisher he mighta got him outa there.
2/3 judges gave it to Crawford tho. WTF are they scoring the fight on ?
Rd 9: Crawford.
Im in agreement with all 3 judges, he landed the better quality n more importantly given the result, he was walking Porter onto that Quality.
Crawford showing his championship experience.
Rd 10:
Thats the way to do it, dont leave it to the judges.
He was walking him onto that uppercut & maybe Porters punch resistance was gone & his father was right to pull him out, hes at the end of a hard career & they all knew he was retiring after this fight.
Maybe hes a more hurtful puncher than he appears to be but I cant see anything that will give Spence any sleepless nights.

@TomLyden-dt2ey
Yer living in dream land talking about fights you obviously never seen, at least not when they happened.
Duran NEVER, not in any of their 3 fights even came close to grinding Leonard down & only their first fight went 15 rds in which Duran won a VERY CLOSE decision, every round was razor close & every rd was action packed.
Not ONCE in his entire career did Hagler show the ability to perform at that level of intensity over 15 rds, & I cited his gas failure vs Vito at the championship level & now Im gonna cite his gas tank spluttering vs the big unbeaten Venezuelan "Obel" first time around, he won, he stopped him but he didnt look good doing it, those who kno, KNOW. Im not saying Hagler had suspect stamina, Im saying that Leonard PROVED, time & time again, that over 15 rounds there isnt a champion in any era who could out fight him, something Hagler failed to PROVE.
He waited vs Duran because he was in danger of getting EMBARRASSED. He prepared for one guy & another guy showed up. Duran was being tricky, timing him n countering him & Hagler tasted those hands of stone & knew he was in bother.
It was tactically & technically a very good fight by both men but it was the debut of CRAFTY VETERAN Duran, it wasn't the demonic, unholy terror who unified the LW Title then moved up n destroyed former champ Polomino then fought Leonard to a standstill. It wasn't even the Duran who lost a decision to Benitez. The Duran who got the decision over Leonard was the absolute best version of Duran that we ever seen & that guy maybe finishes Hagler over 15 rds. That guy puts Hearns on the back foot like Hagler did n maybe even gets him outa there in 3 like Hagler did, that guy was a DEMON, but that isnt the guy who Hagler went the distance with n had to work like hell to get there against, it was a slower more calculated less devastating version of Duran.
Over 15 rds, you have to start talking about Sugar Ray Robinson if yer gonna start speculating about who could maybe beat Leonard, & ONLY Sugar Ray Robinson.

@sjones8772
Go on then, who has he hurt significantly, or what has he done with his strong hand jab?
Typically, a fighter who jabs with his strong hand is one who is un-coachable, unless you are Cuban, they have trained batches of their fighters to tactically fight southpaw.
Fighters like De La Hoya have done it because they have a wicked lead hook they set up behind it.
Strickland has nothing behind his jab, its just a jab, nearest weapon to the nearest target & as such it is the weakest, most timid punch that can be thrown.
As for his style, thanks for explaining it to me, seeing as I have fallen asleep through most of his dull boring fights n never realised whats up.
Theres a reason why he is the UFCs only ex/champ with double digit prelim fights on his record.

This report isnt about National Politics, it is about EU Politics, as such it is reporting upon the EU Budget.
Within said report, nowhere did it claim that a national Government of an EU Member state is forbidden by EU Law to make a commitment through their own national Parliament to Ukraine.
This report is about the EU Budget & when a proposal on how the funds of that budget are to be spent is made by the EU Commission, it is debated.
When the matter being debated is of a sensitive nature such as giving foreign aid, all members of Council of the European Union (Ministers from the national governments of the member states) must all agree.
Hungary is not the only country with a veto, ALL the member states have a veto on sensitive matters such as foreign aid, like the proposal to give Ukraine €18 Billion from the EU Budget.
Its democracy, its not brutal, its not simplistic & it is why politicians get paid.
As such, its another glowing example of how effective the EU democratic process is & how the Governments of the EU member states are able to protect the interests of the people who voted them into power.

He has done what was asked of him by stepping up & taking a short notice fight vs Imavov & then he fought Abus Magomedov who was unranked, so that looked like another favour he did the company. Like it or not, the UFC repays those favours.
As such, splits either way vs quality opponents like Hermasson, Cannonier, Dricus, Costa & the Adesyana upset & its publicity more than qualify him for a quick route back to a title shot, with "them", & most of the reasonable fans.
I say that as a recent challenger & former champ, two top 5 wins in a row puts him right back in there, regardless if anyone likes his cautious/frustrating style or not.
Not every champ is spectacular, not every MMAst is as magical as Silva once was.
He has now proven he can do 15 championship rounds in reasonable comfort, you cant ignore the level of toughness & talent it takes to do that, if you respect the sport that is.

@MiketheNerdRanger
No, you would like to think I was jesting, however, I was in fact raising a serious point, I was merely using an amount of absurdity that put my comment on a par with the OP.
As for your question about more people like this?
Are you talking about the OP or the Stabber in the vid?
In the case of the OP, no I don't want more people who are so detached from their fellow civilians that they think they are a different species & its a source of confusion to them when their fellow citizens don't comply with imaginary, pseudo-intellectual categorisations.
I wouldn't know where to begin in changing the amount of them out there, but I'm pretty sure enforcing equality laws & redistributing the wealth would be a solid start.
In the case of the stabber, I believe that like the OP he is a product of his environment. How he acted out, in my estimation, is the result of being forced to repress his sociopolitical opinions & the explosion of violence that erupted from that repression was to be expected.
Laws exist protecting THE PEOPLE's rights to express themselves (in a civilised manner) & if they were enforced fairly what he did could have been averted, so to answer your question with the simple yes or no that you were seeking, I say yes, I would like to see more people like him, because despite his documented behaviour he is but a human being & as such, under the same duress as he saw it, none of us would have turned out any better.

The first time I ever seen Wonderboy look drained at the weight.
I dunno if its a good thing or a bad thing.
On the one hand he is looking like a BIG 170lb for the first time, he looked big for one of the Woodley fights too but he didnt look dried out at the weigh in like this time, but if he cut the weight the right way its not necessarily a bad thing, he could be a big strong striking n sprawling machine on the night.
On the other hand it could have weakened him & Robert Whittacker claims he never fully recovered from his weight cuts at 170 which left him chinny, & even if it doesnt weaken em look at older fighters like Frankie Edgar who cut weight, there comes a point that when the punch resistance goes, it stays gone.
With all that said, if everything is as it normally is, Id expect Wonderboy to win this fight pretty comfortably, Wonderboy style, nothing overwhelming, just good consistent striking with a good consistent take-down defence, getting him a points victory.
It usually takes something pretty special to beat him & Ive seen nothing special outa Holland, other than talk, & even that has never been anything special.

The Food standards aren't going to be compromised on by the EU & nor should they be.
Goods on the other hand, if they're not up to standard the market economy will naturally reject them n buy a competitor's product which is better value, & safe. Civil law n law suits in the case of injuries due to sub standard goods from Sweat Shop Britain, will take care of the rest.
Technically, a legal loophole exists where British goods can be imported by the EU single market at Belfast & or Derry just as easily as they can be imported at Calais, if not easier.
I can see no legal or moral (Good Will, part of the Brexit Negotiations) reason why British goods cant be imported (from a EU perspective) at Northern Irish ports, then be transported by road to Roslares already expanded Europort due to increased direct trade with the EU due to Brexit, then distributed to the rest of the EU from there.
Hello Britain, welcome back to frictionless free trade with your neighbors ! 👋
We missed you, but not too much ! 😏
It will be of no extra cost to any British manufacturers/exporters, Dover or Stranrar, its just a British port to them.
It will more than appease Northern Irish loyalists, it will actually strengthen their Union with London n give Northern Ireland a purpose for existing beyond providing a training ground with live targets for the British Army💩 😏
The increased traffic going through Scotlands west will please their economy too, & the increased traffic through the Irish Republic will please them economically as well.
Everyone's a winner Rodders, you kno it makes sense.
The pensioners get to remember the war n cherish their sovereignty until they die n the rest of us get to keep on living in the modern world, progressing n scratching each others backs.
Viva la EU.

What difference does it make what he walks around at, he weighs in at 155, as per the contract, that is the agreed upon weight, not the imaginary weight you are speculating about.
Ive been reliably informed that Katona is now a bantamweight so I take the point that its a large weight discrepancy between them, however, chandler did try to belittle him on TUF so there is man sized BEEF between them, or at least there should be if Katona even has just a single ounce of pride, couple that with the fact that he has fought professionally, in the UFC no less, as a FW & you are bound to agree that beefing up 10 extra lbs is very little to expect from a man who had his masculinity challenged by another fighter in front of millions of viewers.

Ward gets a lotta shit talked about him but, Abraham, Dawson, Froch & Kessler were no walk in the park.
Any fighter in history who came through unbeaten in an era with that level of competition would be classed an all time great, but add to it his 2 fights with Kovalev, THE KRUSHER , a Soviet Cyborg, a DESTROYER, considered a p4p top 3 who was unbeaten at that time & its time to S T F U & give Ward his due.
Also, before those career defining tests, his tests along the way were no cherry picks either, Miranda, Bika, Green were no joke & then he moved up in weight n took an unbeaten Barerra as a warm up fight for Kovalev at LHW.
Ward wasn't spectacular but he was G R E A T , an Irish scrapper, a slick American sweet scientist, a W I N N E R .

@RetributionXX
Facts are bad eh?
Law is reason without emotion, boo hoo!!
You see, nobody has filed a complaint against anyone for going to an xmas party & getting carried away (with kid at home) or for having a phone, or for having a partner or for being a neighbor of McGregor, or for being on CCTV, or for flirting or for any other nonsense you care to mention.
I see it as it is & I see fudge & an inadequate from the defense, so bad in fact McG should sue em for throwing him to the dogs like this instead of settling it outa court.
You dont seem to realise that this isnt just some girl who threw herself at McGregor, shes his neighbor, she knows him & his family, they know her & her family, she even went to on a transatlantic trip to Vegas with Dee's family in 2015.
Dublin is a capital city but it is a very small town at the same time, this isnt an American tale, its a very Irish one, a very Dublin one.

@SmokesOnMe
The man is an asshole, I agree but we arent here to discuss your potential husbands & how well your personalities mesh, we are here discussing law & justice.
As such Drejka although an asshole was within his legal & moral rights to express his distaste for non disabled people using disabled parking spaces, granted we didn't hear his tone of voice or the words he used but neither did we hear hers.
Wat we seen was a man talking to a car door far enuff away to be posing no threat until the female seen her man leave the shop which is when she got outa the car n escalated the matter.
These are the facts n yer simpleton imaginary feelings about the matter or fantasies about slitting throats dont come into it.
Drejka didnt call anyone's wife a slut in front of them n he didnt use his gun the first chance he got, He didnt acknowledge the dead mans presence until he was shoved to the ground.
He then drew his weapon, hesitated in what I assume any trained responsible licensed gun owner would do, to give the situation a chance to de-escalate n for the gun to be respected, when in his position this didnt happen he then opened fire.
This wasnt a drive by shooting or a mugging, watch the video with yer imaginary feelings aside n the volume muted, I cant imagine theres a gun carrying person in USA who wouldnt have drawn their weapon in that situation.
As for me being outa touch with reality yer very much mistaken as you are if you think its beyond an organized trained militia to assassinate a corrupt biased judge, burn a house down n temporarily abduct a handful of womin n children.

Like Cormier he is an ELITE LEVEL competitor
Olympic level, no breakdancer bums go to the Olympics & thats where i think Adesyana is gonna lern.
Romero lulls guys to sleep with his rhythm, then explodes, it looks like he hypnotizes them but its his years of experience competing one vs one that gives him that "Magic"
Why did he dance on stage ?
Coz hes goofy n lovable ?
Or coz hes an elite level competitor making shapes n drawing reactions from an opponent he thinks is a BOI ?
The Diaz brothers start fighting you as soon as they sign the contract, Romero & Cormier start fighting you as soon as they find out you might be possibly, one day, just maybe in their weight class, thats how competitive they are, Romero has been reading Izzy since day one & has been licking his chops thinking about taking a chunk outa that BOI.
Adesyana is no boy tho, he has paid dues in Kickboxing which is why he has that excellence, hes not just technical hes also battle proven & with a bit of slight of hand he managed to get to the top n fight someone in recovery from doing 10 rounds vs Romero for the title.
Adesyana is no bum but hes not the real champ either.
Whittacker was n wat damaged Whittacker is Romero, not Adesyana.
I consider this a vacant title & if nothing has drastically changed since the last time either man fought I have to give Romero the edge. Hes too much in too many departments not to do at least some damage n when Romero damages you you stay damaged.

Im not complaining about wrasslers, most of em are fantastic athletes, brave, tough, intelligent skillful men but a boring safety first style is a boring style that wont bring money/fans or keep money/fans. So if , as you say, fans can like it or not they wont ke it or pay for it & the sport will be up shit creek without a paddle.
Boxing promoted safety first fighters like Hopkins & Mayweather n killed itself, which let MMA take over now MMA is going safety first Bare Knuckle Boxing is making a comeback.
A cowardly safety first style is boring, I dont complain if a wrassler ends a fight no matter how boring it is like Cormier n Nurmagomedov do, coz theres an end product to be admired n respected but boring position players like Covington & Usman (Their great fight aside) cant be awarded points for timidity, refusing to engage n holding a safe position, there has to be damage otherwise theyre just stalling the action.
Its Prizefighting, not amateur wrassling.
Ya cant compare wat Silva done in the sport to Adesyana, yes theres face value similarities but nothing else, Silva is one of the all time MMA greats, does Adesyana even have 8 UFC fights yet ?
If yer gonna make a comparison then compare Adesyana to Uriah Hall.
Continue to give amateur wrasslers points for stalling the action n playing it safe n amateur wrasslers will continue to dominate the sport & the sport will continue to force fans out n Bare Knuckle Boxing will continue to grow as MMA fades.
Dont give points for nutral positions & penalize those holding/forcing neutral harmless positions n strikers/well rounded MMA'sts will dominate the sport & MMA will remain the king of the jungle.

@AnonymousSparky02
Magz, Im an Irish Republican.
Not a criminal as the Dublin Government & its London overseers would like to portray Irish Republicanism.
At heart Im probably a social democrat but when yer living next door to Alice you have to bow up n take a hard line every now n again.
I don't consider myself "Irish" I dont consider myself to be represented by the Dublin Government even though I was born, raised n educated under it & it has arguably tolerated my freedom of conscience to this point. I consider it an imperfect political situation but one that still has enough freedom to address those imperfections
I consider myself primarily to be a man, then a Celt, born on the Celtic/Gaelic island, Eireann.
As such I consider you a Celt, born in the north of the Celtic/Gaelic island, Alba/Britain.
Theres no easy way out brother.
Theres no final whistle n scoring a single goal never wins a match until the final whistle blows.
If you believe in it, if you think its worth working toward then all you can do is contribute coz its a job of work that will never be done.
Even if they move WM to Inverness tomorrow n the Scots rule the roost, yer still gonna have to defend yer position n maintain yer lead.
In my remaining life, I'll be happy if I can influence you n yer like to accept yer Gaelic/Celtic roots n persuade you to lay claim to yer indigenous birthright, then we can create a progressive Gaelic/Celtic political, spiritual & cultural Union of our islands, as they were in the beginning, n move forward with our European neighbors as harmoniously as we possibly can.
Democracy is a double edged sword, a claymore.
Ya ken ?

What tech is that then ?
Mobile phones, sat navs, pc's, lap tops, tablets ?
What ?
Super duper secret agent Jonny English technology only Britistan knows about ?
Lies n bullshit dont count as tech, not even the tech you put into Britistani built cars, engineered in "Low Tech Germany"
British conservatives & brexiteers have announced their intentions to destroy the EU n be its trading rival.
They cant do it by free market economics so they are doing it by war mongering, unraveling the Good Friday Agreement in Ireland n threatening to fund terrorism in Northern Ireland, again.
Yer suggesting the pUKe with its 60m market has more bulk buying capability than the 27 nation 459m EU which has a higher GDP & higher education standards.
Yer talking outa yer ass.
Britistans wealth is derived from its dependant State status with the USA.
Bring n buy, market stall, cottage industry Britistan is being propped up by the taxes being paid by USA workers.
Not even your USA Sugar Daddy is in a position to distribute anything that it bought wholesale to the EU.
Without war & terrorism Britistan cant compete economically, hence the current threat of Britistan Anti EU terrorism in Ireland.

@weseethetruth158
I wasnt referring to Wilder.
I was thinking of guys like Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, Holmes, Foreman, Frazier, Ali, Patterson, Marciano, Louis.
Wilder is a symptom of the USAs decline.
Fury, Whyte, Joshua & Chisora are a growth, fungus like, upon that symptom.

@marvin469
Its casual fans who drive the profits, hardcore fans keep the sport alive in times of trouble, and what Im telling you is that in Ireland, throughout the island, there is ZERO support for Garry among the People, they're indifferent to him, at best & that is only if they even know who he is.
In Britistan, whos corporate media machine oversees the "Irish" media, there is even less support for Garry, & if he is recognised by mma fans there it is with contempt.
So he has no fan base & he has no media machine pushing him to that fan base, so where is the potential for him to be a star ?
Hes a decent MMA fighter but he isnt an electrifying one, he isnt stunning at anything.
He has the potential to eventually become a recognised respected prelim fighter, maybe wheel him out on the under-card when the UFC comes to Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham or Londonistan.
Not a bad standard by any means but its far from being a "Star" in the true sense of the word.
Perhaps he can turn it around ?
Perhaps he is made of tougher stuff than he appears to be, perhaps he comes through this Rodriguez test, makes improvements, genuinely humbles himself, consolidates & adopts Arnold Allens down to earth, Soldier/Workman attitude n goes about his career quietly & lets his performances do his talking for him, which is the traditional way on these Celtic Isles.
If yer from here you kno we dont tolerate Prima Donnas unless they have earned their position beyond question, & then we only tolerate em long enough for us to chew em up n spit em out on their way down.
Gary has put the cart before the horse n asked us to jump on board n take a ride with him.
We have told him to F O.

Yes its all very hilarious Im sure, but who are you & why are you replying as though I made a comment toward you ?
That aside, seeing as yer in explanation mode, explain why & how Russia can maintain its permanent place on the UN security council while flaunting the UN Declaration on human rights in the face of its weapons manufacturing, war mongering, war profiteering partners the Yanks, Brits, French & Chinese who all also hold a permanent place on the UN's War Council ... er .. I mean Security Council.
Perhaps the Oligarchy, Ogre's, Fairy's, Elf's & or various other mythical Russian bogeymen are controlling all of them too ?

Boxing has no president.
You are probably describing the head of a boxing governing body. An un-elected self appointed "governing body", who only have as much credibility as gullible clowns give them, hence the likes of Andre Ward publicly asking them only a few months ago, "What do you do for your 3%?"
You obviously have a lot to learn about organised crime, cartels, monopolies, professional boxing & life in general if you actually believe "athletes" can make whatever fights they want to happen, which is why every youtuber is doing what KSI & the Paul brothers are doing, right ?
No corporate sponsorship going on in the background at all, its just the "athletes" doing their thing, right ?

@rhysnichols8608
Most of his fights were at FW but yes, he won most of them inside 2 rds, however, when we look at his UFC Career in isolation we see a different story.
At FW, where McG hasn't fought for the best part of 10 years he won most of his fights inside 2 rds, but for those of us who dont believe the world stopped in 2015 & that life has continued until the present day, McG has lost most of his fights & lost most of those inside 2 rounds.
From his 3 wins since 2015, 2 of them have been inside the distance, so you are correct in saying that 2 is more than 1.5.
However, of his 4 losses, all finishes by the way, in only one of them did he last more than 2 rds.
In his 7 UFC fights ahere he weighed more than 145 he has only been beyond 2 rds twice, hence my comment that McG lasts 2 rds, good or bad, as usual.

He was fishing, giggling nervously & over reaching in everything that he said.
Where was this boxing vs Josh Emmett?
Your vision is clouded by his result vs Volk, who was coming off a brutal KO loss vs the LW champ who he fought with no camp, just a few weeks prior.
Max Hollowway on a full camp, the hardest hitting most confident version of Max Holloway we have ever seen, is among the toughest possible p4p fights in the history of the UFC.
Prime BJ, Prime McG, Prime Aldo, Prime Silva, Prime Jones.
Max is up there with em & Toporia is about to find out, on Oct 26th.

Man, Drackar Klose v Jeremy Stephens is 2 of a kind going at it, 2 firey aggressive boys.
Stephens should have too much experience for him but how much do ya need ? Drakar Klose is no newbie either.
Arlovski V Sherman. For a footballer Sherman is a fantastic fighter but its gonna take more than a footballer to beat Arlovski, hes old, hes beatable but hes still Arlovski who has never been at any other level other than top 10 in the Worls since the turn of the century.
Whittcker v Gastelum, its gonna be spicy n Im expecting a finish, both guys have shown signs of their punch resistence fading, its could be a question of who lands first or who is less faded, one way or another it should be exciting, I rekon Whittacter is the fresher of the two, mentally & physically & he looks at lot bigger at the weight than Gastelum who probably should be fighting at 170.

In my life so far there's a few truly GREAT displays of Sweet Science
1: Roy Jones Jr vs John Ruiz
If boxing is ever considered a Martial Art, it will be because of that fight.
Roy had a few truly great displays of the sweet science in his career, but never against an opponent holding a major world title who outweighed him by so much.
2: Sugar Ray Leonard vs Marvelous Marvin Hagler
A fantastic display of the sweet science by the ring rusted Leonard who had to dig deep into his scientific tool bag to outlast & outshine the tricky, determined & reigning p4p #1 for 5 years in a row, Hagler. An epic scrap & an absolutely epic performance by Leonard.
3: Calzaghe vs Lacy
A genuine unification fight with the lineal title on the line between two unbeaten Champions. The stakes couldn't have been higher & very few fancied Calzaghe going into it, it seemed like time had caught up to him n this was his last hurrah, a big payday unification fight to see him off into retirement.
Probably the best display of pure boxing ever seen in a world championship ring by a Brit. If you didn't see it live then you wont quite grasp it. It was truly iconic, hence its place on my list among the great names above him. Lacy was never the same after it, but make no mistake, before it happened everyone was looking at him as being the second coming of Tommy Hearns, a genuine KO artist who struck fear into the hearts of fight fans. Lacy was the next big thing n had he beat Calzaghe he woulda went on to be maybe the biggest name in the sport outside the HW division.

VOLK !!!
Yer basing yer confidence on VOLK !!!???
Volk took a fight with the LW Champion on 10 days notice & got BRUTALLY KTFO a matter of mere weeks before he faced Toporia.
He is the very DEFINITION of a SHOT FIGHTER!
The VERY BEST, most CONFIDENT, HARDEST HITTING version of Max Holloway we have ever seen, on a full camp, is a VERY different prospect to fighting a money hungry, unprofessional, barely sober, weight drained, shot to pieces, barely medically cleared, clearly winging it Volkanovski.
Max is about to FORCE FEED you all an ALL TIME GREAT sized REALITY CHECK.

@windytv7511
Yer mistaken somewhere along the line, because I dont think they messed up anywhere.
Theres no easy fights in the UFC, unless they're scripted like Cerrone vs McGregor.
That aside, Volk & the rest of them are grown men & if they think the money is too good to turn down its their call to make, they're professionals after all, prize fighters, not trophy hunting amateurs.
If yer talking star power, Strickland is a journeyman, a rags to riches tale, hes not cut out to stay at the top, unless all of a sudden he starts to improve, which he hasn't done since before he fought Usman, its been the same ol'Al from day one with him, he has just started mouthing off more & louder than before.
Gynosanya talks a good show, fails to deliver on the talk tho. Hes definitely talented & would be appreciated more for his talent if he didnt over sell himself but he is what he is n personally I dont think he has genuine star power but who really does since Anderson Silva lost to Weidman ?
Jon Jones is all over the place, hes definitely a star & is thee biggest name in the sport still, thats the sport now, not necessarily the business, Im not an accountant & dont pretend to be.
Aspinal is a bit of a drama queen but if or when he quits it with the GSP/beauty queen celebrations n starts keeping it real he has the potential to be great in the cage n do a solid job outside it.
Aspinal vs Jones, Stipe or Gane is well worthy of headlining 300.
O'Malley has a bit of Paazazz about him & theres no reason his generation shouldnt appreciate him, If he gets past Chito he has some very serious challenges ahead of him in Merab & Sandhagen.
Volk similar to Strickland is a common man tale & one that looks to have run its course.
Time for the UFC to get back to its roots n sell itself on making the best fighters fight with no mus, no fus, just getting it on.
Its the title thats the selling point in any combat sport, devalue it & disrespect it & the sport goes into the gutter n ya get the likes of McGregor attacking busses, insulting religions & making death threats to opponents.
What are ya gonna do for an encore ?

@billbillerton6122
Its YOUR problem, not mine & its obviously not a problem for the parents of the kids they & they alone are responsible for.
I personally don't find Drag Queens sexually attractive therefore I don't see anything sexual in them reading story's to kids n goofing off, as they do, while the kids are supervised by their parents. It's cringy yes, but it's not criminal & it's not a danger to society, at least not to a society that has a strong, confident masculine backbone.
I'm not even going to entertain yer cretinous question about children in a strip club after Ive already made the comparison before you did, but while we are on the comparison train, if the same parents take the same kids to watch adult gymnasts doing their floor routine in their scantily clad outfits, should that be outlawed too just because me or someone else finds scantily clad gymnasts gyrating around the floor a sexual turn on, nearly half as much as you are obviously turned on by the Dragsters ?

And what?
The result of the fight is still debated, hence it wasn't effective.
Nurmagomedov decked McG, does that make him a power puncher?
Styles makes fights n some fighters can land shots easier on some than others, it just so happens McG found Diaz easy to hit, for 2 rounds, until he gassed out, as usual, n spent the final rounds getting bullied.
Diaz took McGs best shots, walked through em n walked McG down, he took it, shook it n enforced his will on McG.

Great rd 6 by Gamboa.
He was out on his feet in the 5th & was there for the taking in the 6th & Crawford knew it.
Gamboa came out, stamped his authority on the proceedings, reclaimed his respect n kept Crawford at bay.
Rds 1,2,3 & 6 Gamboa
Rds 4 & 5 Crawford
Rd 4 is close could go either way & Rd 5 is 10-08
4-3 Gamboa after 6.
Rds 7 & 8 Crawford. Hes a sharp spiteful puncher. Takes his time to get into the fight but when he does he is capable of ending it in any rd.
Rd 8 was 10-08
6-4 Crawford after 8
Rd 9 is what Crawford is all about, he was rocked & in trouble, then turned it around by doing a lotta damage in a very small amount of time.
If ever there is a man you have to fight one rd at a time its Crawford. You cant think beyond the rd yer in with him, whether it was good or bad you gotta let the previous rd go & dont be saving yerself for the next one, hes just too sharp & spiteful with his punches.
Spence gonna have to be more patient in their rematch, he only lost around 3 or 4x30 second segments of their first fight but it was enough to do what it did.
Hes also gonna have to sharpen up his cross n quit looking to land it as an overhand every time. Hes gonna have to add a bitta sophistication to it.
Its easier said than done but you gotta take Crawford back to basics, one rd at a time, take no unnecessary risks n keep it high percentage, double jab cross & DONT get greedy with him, do what ya do but then get outa Dodge & get outa there QUICK. Reset, reload & do it again, & again, & Again, ALL NIGHT LONG.
If a jab is working on him dont go beyond it until it isnt, then switch it up once he adjusts. You gotta have your plan B, C & D in place & ready to go when he adjusts n stay one step ahead of him. You cant lose concentration with him for even a second coz he hits hard enough to scramble yer brain n dictate the fight from there on out.

@ThanosDidTheRightThing
Who said anything about better?
But while we are on the subject, during Tysons era, the best, the toughest, the most talented & most dangerous fighters were all in boxing, there was no MMA, Boxing was THEE PREMIER combat sport, today its a shadow of what it once was, its a second division sport for posers to make easy money. Boxing today is Saturday Matinee material, pantomime violence for old grannies entertainment, what WWE/pro wrasslin used to be, good clean fun for old ladies & young children.
Fury is no better than his father was, go look what Henry Akanwande did to him.
Joshua is no better than Herbie Hide, go look what Bowe done to him, Joyce is no better than Gary Mason.
Wilder beat WHO?
In the lighter divisions there are one of two technically good boxers who MAYBE could compete in any era, but we will never know since the talent pool is so diluted we have never seen them truly tested like Sugar Ray Leonard was tested vs Benetiz & Vs Hearns, we just get these posers moving through the weights picking up vacant titles that mean NOTHING.
Primo Carnera was as big as the biggest HWs today, there has always been big HWs, just today the sport is so soft more of them can prosper.
Do you honestly think Andy Ruiz would have beaten Ray Mercer, Tommy Morrison or Razor Ruddock?
You're dreaming.
Its a soft era & boxing is going down the pan unless they ban MMA, otherwise it will be just another amateur feeder sport for MMA.

@taylorgordon2696
Like Roy Jones, Tyson is a victim of his own success, he made good fighters look like they were nobodies.
Look what he did to Bruno, TWICE, then go look at Lennox Lewis having absolutely life n death with Bruno.
Oliver McCall was a sparing partner for Tyson, he KOd Lewis.
Tyson was a monster up until 1996 when Holyfield broke him in what was an EPIC, legendary fight & only Holyfield could have broken him in 1996, not Lewis, he didnt have the grit or the courage, not Bowe, he was spent after the Hoylfield trilogy, not Mercer, Moorer or anyone else, they just weren't in his league, just like Berbick wasn't.
Lewis cowered n his from him (& every other credible threat) until Tyson was 16 years removed from his first world title, had been beaten by Holyfield twice, & had been banned twice & had been in & outa prison twice. If you think Lewis could have lasted 5 rds with Tyson any time between 1985 & 1997, yer dreaming.
Mike Tyson was the REAL DEAL, until he met the REAL DEAL.
Thats 10 full years he was the GLOBALLY RECOGNISED, GLOBALLY UNDISPUTED BADDEST MAN ON THE PLANET, so bad in fact that had to create that phrase to describe him.
Who else has reigned 10 full years as the UNDISPUTED UNHOLY TERROR of the HW division?

@TomLyden-dt2ey
Muddy waters, fudge & a big flaky victim card.
Awww, poor you, here have a tissue, or is it a tampon you need ?
As I stated:
1: Hagler didnt even come close to grinding down a slowed down more tactical Duran, it was nip & tuck for 15 rds. He won it, I didnt think it was as close on the cards as the judges but it was a majority decision & it resurrected Durans reputation & dented Haglers at that time.
2: Throughout his entire career Hagler never displayed anything over 15 rds to suggest he would even come close to grinding down Leonard over 15 rds. Leonard had proven time & again vs LEGENDARY reigning World Champs that NOBODY was capable of grinding him down or in real terms out-scrapping him over 15 rds. Anything to the contrary is absolute myth, fantasy & fairytales.
3: A soppy statement fulla flowery romantic notions backed up by nothing to do with what the men actually achieved in their careers does not make it fair, balanced or respectful, it makes it what it actually is, soppy, weak & an embarrassment to the sport & all who have participated in it.
4: Nobody rates Hagler higher than I do, I just dont rate his chances, the absolute best version we have seen of him arguably vs Sibson, Roldan & Hansho, over 15 rds vs a fresh, match fit Leonard & I base that on the reality of their 12 rdr when a ring rusted Leonard who gassed after 6 rds forced Hagler to gas after 9 rds, using nothing more than his ringcraft & will to win.

If its no blunder then explain why I, a civilian, managed to come up with the idea that it is a blunder ?
Why arent I, a civilian, impressed ?
Why am I not afraid of him ?
What gave me the idea to compare him to a frightened thief in the night or a criminal moving by night because he is on the run from authorities ?
Surly if they didnt blunder in their public relations/Propaganda I woulda got their message.
So tell us, what is their message ?
They have published a video of their intrepid, anti fascist leader, driving a Toyota made in Portugal, in the "Fascist EU", scurrying around, looking over his shoulder in the dead of night.
What are they telling us other than Putin is a Puppet/Ambassador of Western Manufacturing

They go from one extreme to another, totally respectful or totally idiotic.
I'd like it somewhere in between.
I hate the women face offs, they mean mug like they're gonna kill each other then hug, kiss n exchange recipes for baking cakes.
But at least they're women, they can be forgiven, what cant be forgiven is the men getting in each other's face then trying to act all friendly immediately after it like its a big joke.
Unforgivable, keep that same energy, if a man gets in yer face get him outa there, whatever way you think best in the moment. If you get in someones face, you better stay there n make it meaningful, dont be trying to act like its just a game coz you kno yer reasonably safe with cameras n witnesses there etc, thats Spice Boy stuff n it has no place in mens sports.

He's a big brawny powerful puncher at long range, even decks guys with his jab.
Nurmagedov can get to him n hurt him inside that range, his hooks are a bit tidier n his overhand right is under rated. Ferguson's inside fighting n dirty boxing needs some work but his elbow use makes up for some of it.
Its just biomechanics, Ferguson's power is at long range & most of the times he gets decked is when hes trying to punch on the inside, he needs to tidy himself up.
Nurmagomedov will be looking to clinch n dominate position as usual, then look to open up as his opponent fades, no magic in what he does, its A-B-C.
Ferguson has x factor tho. Kinda like Tyson Fury. Hes big, half crazy, battle proven n he doesn't really kno wat hes gonna do until THAT moment arrives.
Easily Ferguson can catch Nurmagedov with a fight ender on the approach. His timing is vital n hes been sparing for this one so hes prepared n aware his timing is essential.
I hope he gets it done. The tougher the battle the more it suits Tony, the Russian doesn't want it like that, hes safety first n when it comes to a proper war he will crumble.

Whats the puzzle here?
Its an undisputed title, ranking system with a top 4 exists.
This isn't boxing with competing titles, 6 individual portions at present are recognised: WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, Lineal & Ring Magazine. In that system you can have 6 men making a legitimate claim to be the World Champ, hence confusion as to who might be the next challenger & for what title.
UFC Title = 1 Champ, Top 4 = 4 contenders capable of legitimately challenging the champ on any given night.
There is no question of merit, anyone inside the top 4 or even top 5 is a legitimate contender, the only question is logistics, as in who is fit, who can get a travel visa etc, but every title in the UFC has at least 4 legitimate contenders on any given day of the week.
No confusion.

@sjones8772
You have been TOLD that his strikes are significant & now you are parroting what you have been TOLD, to me.
Ive asked you for an example of this supposed significance & you have failed to deliver.
Effectively, his style is that of a journeyman who has potential, theoretical potential, his record, mostly in prelim fights, tells no lies though, he has had his opportunity to make the step up to the next level, skillwise, & he added NOTHING to his skillset, unless you count those pathetic windmill arm punches vs Dricus as an addition?!
Stricklands style is effective at getting him to the final bell n maybe winning a points decision. As a man that isn't a bad thing, but as a pro fighter among pro fighters, he is an also-ran.
It wasn't his style, that got him a title shot, it wasn't who he beat either, a measly two fight win streak vs unranked guys nobody had heard off, it was his mouth & his ability to make schoolboys giggle on Twitter, with the stoopidity that he spews.

Corporations are not above the law.
A corporation operating in a legal jurisdiction such as the USA where free speech, freedom of & from religion & freedom of the press are guaranteed can not legally let alone morally censor anyone based upon their political or religious views (for arguments lets just stick with main stream political views, & the religious view that Twitter IS NOT their religion or religious instructor) Twitter among others are trying to behave as tho they are a divine, supreme moral authority along the lines of a monarch who believes they have a divine right to rule.
IT is illegal, it is perverted, it is immoral, it is depraved.
A Corporation is a legal entity the same as an individual is & a corporation behaving like Jim Jones, David Koresh, Charles Manson or any other depraved cult leader forcing & manipulating vulnerable & impressionable people to surrender their rights to him/it in the name of "rules" or "terms of service" is ILLEGAL & IMMORAL & somebody if not a whole lotta somebody's should be imprisoned for a very long time because of it.
So no, Twitter wasn't broken as such but it was bankrupt from the start, morally bankrupt & the sooner it & its verminous like are wiped from the face of the earth, the better for us all.

Fury is enigmatic though.
Insult Fury, wound his pride & you have an unstoppable charging elephant on yer hands, like Cunningham, & Wilder got after their first fight.
Let Fury have things his own way n you get the goofy 270lb 6'9 giant who thinks he is a 5'9 middleweight copy of Willie Pep.
There's no such change or enigma with Strickland, he does the best he can with what he has got & he doesn't venture away from what gets him paid, namely his jab, his teep kick, his ability not to get KOd & his ability to push a tempo that makes other fighters slightly uncomfortable enough to second guess their cardio & allow him to dictate the pace n tempo of the fight.
As such he is what he is, a decent prelim fighter who got lucky, went on a fabricated run vs non title contenders (due to his ability to be "controversial" on social media & therefore sell advertisement space for the UFC) n ended up winning the title in a very close fight vs a Champ who was having the worst night or 2nd worst night of his MMA career.
Strickland is an anomaly, Fury is an enigma.
Big difference.

@stoicsavage509
She contacted him AFTER he commented on her instagram office party pic.
She knows him, he knows her, they are from the same neighborhood. They know each other's family & friends.
She was at her Xmas office party, she had been boozing for 10+ hours before McG plied her with illegal narcotics & free booze for 6 hours so that he could take advantage of her, hoping she wouldn't be able to remember his vicious assault.
Who hasn't gone to a Xmas office party & ended up doing something foolish due to having poor judgment?
Who hasn't told their partner a minor lie to spare their feelings?
Her medical evidence is irrefutable & unless McG's barrister can somehow prove his client didn't take advantage of a neighborhood girl that he knew had been at an office party & boozing for 10 hours before he picked her up & then gave her copious amounts of the purest, most hardcore illegal narcotics that can be found in Dublin & therefore all of Ireland, along with copious amounts of free hard liquor, for 6-8 hours before getting physical with her, then it's very much an open & shut case, the man is a low life predator & a danger to his community & you better believe a Dublin jury isn't going to ignore any of that.
What white lies the girl may have told when out partying before, during or after all of that is irrelevant to the case & her evidence remains unchallenged, let alone refuted.

@bryanlace8302
Bernard Hopkins was a few days shy of his 50th birthday when he lost his world title. For 10 years before that Hopkins made a career outa fighting for only 30 secs per rd.
Mike Tyson is NOT fighting for a world title, he is NOT fighting a World Champion, he isnt even fighting a ranked opponent!
Age means nothing if you are in shape & have the experience to be a ring general & dictate the pace of the fight.
Like Hopkins, Mike Tyson lived in the gym. Not only that, their every waking moment & even their sleeping dreams all revolved around boxing & how to become better.
Success is no accident, excellence is no accident.
From Mike Tyson was 13 until he was 26 Boxing was in every single breath he took, it was beyond a religion to him, it was life itself, which is why he was so successful so young. He is a walking, talking, living, breathing boxing encyclopedia & most importantly, he is in shape!
Mike Tyson has forgotten more about boxing at the highest level than JP will ever learn. Mike Tyson has more boxing knowledge, more practical experience, more ringcraft & Championship know how than all of Jake Pauls coaches combined & all their coaches combined.
People are forgetting just how much work went into making Mike Tyson Iron Mike.
The man is a legitimate all time great.
When he was Champ, they were looking back 20 & 30 years to Ali & Marciano trying to find a fighter capable of beating him, now he is almost 60 that are putting him in with kids 30* years younger than him.
They have done it to nobody else, the man is one of a kind & JP is in serious danger of being humiliated, IF it isnt scripted.

Classic Hagler switch.
Hes having fun in there, hes already read you like a book & hes decided that he seen you coming a week ago.
How good was he ?
Thats how good he was, & much more.
Poetry in motion, fluid, no tells, hes done it before you realize what he hit you with let alone how.
I cant believe there's kids online today who actually believe Goons like GGG would be some kinda test for him, they just cant comprehend that the standard of competition was WAY WAY higher during Haglers era.
GGG is a caveman, bare bones basic compared to Hagler.
13:05
Check out the way he floats into the orthodox stance to land a lead right cross to enter then float back into the southpaw stance to exit, unharmed.
He was like a ghost at times.
All Hamsho knows is that hes getting hit, he hasnt a clue whats happening.
22:45
Use it, dont abuse it.
Floats into the orthodox stance to lead with the right cross again.
Patient, methodical, he knows he has routes to victory, hes a master of disguising them then unleashing them when you have switched off or are digesting what hes now touching you with.
This is 10th Dan Black Belt Martial Arts level stuff being used in real life combat situations.
Does Hamsho even kno what hes been hit with?
No sooner than Hagler landed the second right hand he has switched back out into the Southpaw stance n exited clean before Hamsho could blink, let alone react.
Hagler is having a party in there.
Rd 11
Hamsho was a tough game boy but in the end Hagler had taken his foundations away & when it was time to pull the plug n bring the building down he went to work like an attack dog mauling its prey.
Masterclass in the Sweet Science of DESTRUCTION.
Fantastic commentary by Sugar Ray Leonard too.

Yea look, if you think Im gonna try to sift through that garbled caps lock drivel n nonsense then yer an even bigger incoherent drug addicted loud mouthed idiot than you appear to be.
The guy, young adult male, was there as part of a murder gang, he acknowledges his membership in said terrorist murder gang in the video, therefore Castle Doctrine or any other self defense laws that apply to individuals do not apply to him because he admits in the video he is not there alone acting as an individual good Samaritan.
As for the rest of your nonsense about terrorism its just the ramblings & imagination of an idiotic drug addict, unless of course you have some proof or at least some relevant evidence ?
In closing, being part of an anti democratic terrorist organization & murdering political protesters is not in any way patriotic nor is it law abiding.
You are an idiot, a contemptuous idiot, if you weren't so poisonous you would be pitiful.
I look forward to yer war, or should I say yer pathetic, pitiful, wretched attempt at one.

He doesn't rest on his laurels, he's adding to n tweaking his style from fight to fight, a VERY dangerous & excellent trait to have. Like early McG, it makes him very difficult for an opponent to prepare for.
Also like McG, he needs to manage his energy systems better. He is a very talented MMA boxer, he's taking bits n pieces from various boxers & MMAsts n made em his own. Like Lomachenko is an eclectic amalgamation of guys like Roberto Duran, Roy Jones & Mike Tyson, Ruffy is also an amalgamation of guys like Cub Swanson, McG, Anderson Silva, with shades of Canelo in his boxing.
He is very talented but he is going to have to learn how to go through his power gears better & learn to switch it up from power to speed to volume & back to power again.
He should start looking at boxers like Leo Santa Cruz, Marco Antonio Barrera & Julio Cesar Chavez, less spectacular boxers but excellent at managing their energy.
Sometimes you gotta dig in for the long haul & you need that stamina base so you can then go through your power gears, which he clearly has.
He has a lotta potential & that Fighting Nerds team has a very talented crop of fighters at the moment, its quite possible they could hold every title from FW to MW all at once & for a few years in a row.

@irish-wraith523
Well by indigenous Irish standards yer not from Ireland therefore yer not "Irish"
However, almosr every working class family from Ireland has family abroad in America, UK, Australia n loadsa other places & each n every one of those family's consider their relations, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles just as much a part of their extended family as their relations born n bred here.
Its a terminology thing mostly & things getting lost in translation upon first meeting n then meeting very infrequently due to geography, after that.
Its no big deal, unless among ignorant, arrogant, prejudiced pricks

Fury must put on an absolute boxer/puncher masterclass of staying safe & setting Francis up for the one single BIG punch to get him outa there
He has to display the set ups he has for every big single punch in the book, the cross, the over hand, the lead hook & uppercut, the rear hook & uppercut, & all the various body shots until Francis goes.
If he fails to he should be sued for every penny he has got for committing fraud & so should the promoters.
This has to be an absolute immaculate Ali vs Cleavland Williams, Sugar Ray Leonard vs Dave Boy Green or Roy Jones vs Sugar Boy Malinga or Roy Jones vs Clinton Woods level & standard of boxing otherwise Fury should become the most hated man on the planet.
Francis is an absolute boxing novice going against a reigning world champ who has proclaimed himself the greatest of all time, so put up or shut up Fury, heres yer opportunity to prove yerself.
I suspect we are gonna see Fury, timidly tippy tap, clown, circle n jab until Francis gasses out or the final bell rings, n if thats all he does Fury should be considered a blotch on the sport of boxing for all time.

This is a hell of a card boys, we have seen worse PPVs recently.
Tuivasa v Pavlovich is a main event in its own right, not far off being PPV worthy, its not going the distance n somebody is either getting face planted or they are getting saved from brain damage by the ref.
Dos Anjos v Barberena, nobody would complain if that was the 5 rd main event on a Fight Night card, say in Utah.
Hermanson v Dolidze is the 5rd main event at a Fight Night in Europe, probably Germany or Sweden
Guida v Holtzman is main card worthy
Johnson v Diakaize is main card worthy, it would headline & sell out an arena in Manchester for a Fight Night, its a fight that could be SPECTACULAR, if it doesnt stank !
And lets not forget, the Peoples Champion, UFC Cult Hero, The Elk, The Damage, Thee one & only Darren Elkins is fighting too !
This is one of the best cards of the year lads !

@amhawk8742
He arguably didnt lose to Till, it was a hometown decision in which Wonderboy done all the attacking n took little or no damage.
However, back to your points about Holland.
What he done to Jacare was more about where Jacare was in his career at that point than it was about Holland landing anything special on him.
We have seen strikes from guard many, many times but rarely has it ever caused the end to a fight, its a low percentage position to be striking from.
But as I remember it Holland swung his legs similar to a guy doing a pendulum sweep from guard n thats where he got the power in his punch from, it was legit skill, it was original & therefore it was special, I stand corrected.
If I were asked my opinion on Hollands attributes Id say that he is game, he is unorthodox & he had under rated power.
At this time tho as a fighter I dont think he is worthy of praise. Im not his coach & what I see as a fan is a fighter who has a whole hell of a lotta work to do on his fighting skills instead of making weak bitch like excuses like "Hes a grappler & Im a striker, thats why I lost"
If or when he gets there I'll happily pay the man his due but until then, I'll continue to pay the man his due.
I dont think he is anywhere next or near Wonderboys level, his only hope is that wonderboy is dead at the weight & has outgrown the division or that Wonderboy is on the slide n can lo longer handle the rough n tumble of being a pro MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST, not just a striker, AHEM !

@Anglo-Brit
No, you wish I wish.
Terrorism & or war is the only possible way Britistan can gain from the global economy compared to their economic might pre-Brexit.
They simply can't compete on quality or value, free market economics dictates so, the tail cannot wag the dog & the longer it tries to do so the weaker it becomes.
Henceforth, a calamity, the threat of a calamity or all out war is the only route for them to take if they want to outperform their less militarized, more democratic rivals.
In peace time politics & economics their only other option is to become a dependency of the USA's domestic economy.
Much as I like the USA & what they have traditionally stood for I think it would be an absolutely disgraceful outcome for the good people of Britain who have left the top end of a highly functional, perfectly democratic & progressive EU to become the USAs charity case.
Britain is better than that & although they have shown some horrible true colors since Brexit & for the most part the EU is carrying on as before, flawlessly functional, diplomatic, democratic & cooperatively, I believe we are culturally, intellectually & politically stronger with the Brits on board as a team member ... not the team owner as they'd like to be.

BMF shouldnt be for title contenders, it should be for battle proven veterans who never quite made it to the top of the top level.
Jim Miller, Darren Elkins, Matt Brown, Edson Barbosa, Jack Hermason, Neil Magny, etc etc.
BMF in every weight class, BMF super fights between BMF Title holders from different divisions, but not every week, once in a while.
Gathje is a disgrace defending a BMF title vs a Featherweight when he is the legit #1 Contender at LW.
UFC has become a childrens entertainment Circus show, where even Champions are now dressing up in clown suits at press conferences.

@editionsportscards
Whats weird is that he is the only armed terrorist that night who the "crazed mob" randomly followed, chased n tried to disarm.
Everyone who was threatened, shot & or murdered by Rittenhouse were filmed at the dumpster fire & interacting with the armed terrotists, yet none of them displayed any out of the ordinary desire nor made any attempt to disarm anyone, they didnt follow or chase anyone.
They all left well enough alone, that is until Rittenhouse became an active shooter.
He fled from the unarmed Rosenbaum then shot him dead.
Rittenhouse didnt provide any first aid , even though he had been masquerading as an EMT, nor did he show any concern for his still moving victim, he instead stood over his kill n savored the moment, enjoyed watching the death throes hoping to see Rosenbaum draw his last agonizing breath, then he phoned a friend to gloat about it.
What did he do next ?
He fled the scene as fast as his legs could carry him.
Rittenhouse isn't invisible, he done all this in the presence of tens if not hundreds of people who rightfully identified him as an active shooter & followed him.
Out of those tens if not hundreds who then followed the fleeing Rittenhouse, 2 or 3 were brave & courageous enough to attempt to disarm him.

@stephenthomas3085
Under the Tories & their Brexit escapades, " Project Sweat Shop" is the only way Britain can compete.
Deregulation, lower standards, increase working hours, increase income tax etc, etc
The EU seen them coming a mile off n negotiated a deal to protect the single market against unfair competition, which the British working class owe them a debt of gratitude for.
Another way to ease or work around some of the Tory love of bureaucracy is to better utilize Northern Irelands status with the Republic of Ireland/EU.
A single market still exists there so as far as exporting British goods to the EU if they're distributed from NI through the ROI into mainland Europe or just through NI into mainland Europe then 90% of the Tory barriers to small businesses trading goes away.
The food standards though, theres no getting around that, yer gonna have to commit to continue to toe the line on that or just continue to tolerate checks on food entering the EU & therefore the checks on unsafe British food entering Irelands single market through Northern Ireland.
If you insist upon ignoring the food standards everyone in the UK under the age of 50 was born n raised under, then perhaps you should create facilities at the ports of exit from Britain for them to be checked, rather than checking em at ports of entry in Northern Ireland.

Heid The Ba'
Dry yer eyes, ya slabber.
Low lands n East coast alll have Gaelic place names, towns, rivers, mountains, north, west, east n south Scotland
As for yer so called Scotts language, its a dialect of English, not a language, ya broke back Spice Boy.
Where the Gaelic language is spoken today is of no relevance but its no coincidence its only spoken n used in small areas & on islands on Irelands west coast too.
Both Alba & Eireann are conquered territories whose inhabitants are being held to ransom for what is rightfully theirs by the tyrannical, murderous illegitimate regime based in London.
