If nothing else it's a great go to for national disaster, flood,fire,tornado and it would already be in place. yeah, I'd get involved.

Anna Blair Yes, one could take an old microwave oven and place it in their attic, basement whatever. remove the two power prongs leaving the ground prong intact You could plug it into an outlet for house ground or ground it independently. You could stash walky-talkies, a spare cell phone or two, coil for your car or car chip, radio etc. You could wrap them in foil. Microwave ovens are designed to not leak microwaves and conversely will keep them out.
