We keep being invited by Texas locals & government. They could have half literate flat earthers from the Bible Belt, but for some reason there's not much of a tax base to be gotten out of them. Apparently Texas' big cities, have modern needs, with modern corporations and need educated Californians and not half-literate flat earthers and survivalists. I keep hearing about how everyone hates the California invasion but whom do you want as your new neighbor? A Californian who quietly sips his wine, goes to work and pays his taxes and doesn't smack his old lady around for exercise? Or a good 'ol boy who's shooting his gun off every Saturday night and burns his trash in his backyard every Monday? Because the kind of neighbor you want, living next to you, your kids and your grandkids, is ultimately the kind of neighborhood, you want to live in.

@MarekDohojda Communist completely ignore the existence of Market Economics, and the claim that Supply and Demand are a myth. They believe that people will work without a personal motivation, of a return on labor invested. They are absurdists and knuckle draggers. Socialists understand Supply and Demand and simply wish to limit the destructive side effects of unrestricted Capitalism. The fact that you can sue a Corporation for poisoning your drinking water, is SOCIALISM. In a purely Capitalist system, Corporate lobbyists and lawyers, would simply pass laws, make poisoning your water legal, and you would have no legal recourse as your children and grandchildren were poisoned in their own homes. That's called PURE Capitalism. So claiming Socialism and Communism is the same thing, simply demonstrates your lack of understanding of the terms. But feel free to continue to demonstrate your Trump University Degree, for all to see.

Social safety nets for widows, orphans, people handicapped during national wars and industrial accidents, Socialism. Unemployment insurance, Socialism. Your Social Security check, Socialism. Medicare, Socialism. Public schools, Socialism. Public roads, Socialism. Electricity in rural areas being subsidized by the Federal government, Socialism. Hospitals in rural areas being subsidized by the Federal government, Socialism. Arms industry in rural Sates, away from centers of Industry, Socialism. Farm subsidies, Socialism. My bet is that you've taken advantage of Socialist structures your entire life, without even being aware of it and if you lived in a pure capitalist society tomorrow, you'd put a gun in your mouth in a few days, out of pure misery.

@Nothing To See Here But true Socialism is not what he was talking about. When idiots from Texas talk about California Communism, they are not talking about REAL Communism. They are usually talking about Social Democrat policies, that are prevalent in California and mostly non-existent in Texas, such as laws protecting people from working in hazardous environment, without safety equipment and regulations; and educational standards that are not based on the 1890s.

So my question stands: "I thought Islam forbade its adherents from drinking alcohol? Are other drugs allowed?" Which group of California Democrats or which organization came up with what you described? If you make psychotic accusation, then provide evidence. The U.S. wishes to equip and arm the Ukrainians. But U.S. arms and gear, need a lot of technical knowledge to be passed on (both expensive and time consuming,) so Poland gets to upgrade and in return, pay for part of it (happy American taxpayers,) and it gets to pass on arms that the Ukrainians can use immediately, rather than 6 months from now, in return for a discount for its purchases. This is how we define a 3 way win, Poland gets to pay a 'friends and family' price, the U.S. gets to do military spending without angering the electorate by subsidizing Polish procurements of U.S. arms, that keep Americans employed, they U.S. can avoid having station, train, equip, and maintain a full army to defend Poland, since the Poles are willing to do that. And the Ukrainians get weapons and gear they are familiar with, that is probably well maintained as the Polish army was using as recently as 'yesterday.' So yay for everyone. Not to mention the Polish procurement from SK, where both can have a good arms-trade relationship as neither has a reason to be suspicious of the other's motives or intentions.

Calm down, Binkov's Battlegrounds have always been hypothetical. Like US vs Russia if there was no Ocean separating them, etc... All of it is made up. If you can't handle a channel like this, maybe you should quit now and go back to low stress entertainment, like throwing rocks at the neighbor kids.

He was talking about California Socialism, and those policies are what he was basing his accusations on, since there is no actual movement to take over the means of production. So if you've got evidence of REAL Socialism, then show them. And if there is no California Socialism, then clearly you were talking about Social Democrat policies. As I've said to him: Put up or shut up.

They did a recent operational check of the Germany military recently and of the 80 or so, modern tanks that Germany had, 0 of them were actually operational. This is good, except you have forgotten several Carrier Groups in the Indian Ocean and the Arab Peninsula. The U.S. would have 4 CV groups in the South China Sea in a matter of days/weeks and NOT months. And that's not accounting for the CVs that would mobilize from the Eastern Pacific. Only the Atlantic Fleet would require some time to arrive and that's the smallest US CV force, since W. Europe is an ally.

I think this is fairly accurate, except it does not take into account the NRA boys. While normally, I have zero use for them and their pathological distrust of the U.S. government, there are roughly 30,000,000 gun owners in the U.S. and about 15,000,000 of them train and practice shooting rifles and handguns on a fairly regular basis. They have nothing better to do each Saturday other than handling their guns and their methamphetamine addictions. Suffice to say, the U.S. has a lot of mental defectives with guns, who are just looking to shoot someone, someone black-brown-Russian-English-German-neighbor... well, you get the gist of it. So, the U.S. has a much larger pool of well trained riflemen and snipers and just overall survivalists, who could be put in uniform, than the world might imagine. Now, controlling these 'high functioning' sociopaths might be a different matter. I think letting them loose on an enemy force and enemy terrain, would be quite effective. The U.S. does not lock away its mental health patients, it let's them live away from large population centers and practice shooting guns. It is much cheaper that way.

Arabs can fight, they just have a poor methodology of training their troops. They would simply have to undo that prior to a war. And when I mean methodology, I mean that officers and NCOs would need to start sharing information with their troops. This would increase their unit cohesion and make them a decent fighting force.
