By that thought process it absolves the people of the Confederacy of all blame by claiming that it was their Political and Military leaders who were responsible. And of course it absolves all other populations of electing their respective monsters such as Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, (insert your psychopath of the 20th and 21st century here)

  4. I wouldn't call the Austro-Hungarians a Junior Partner, I never have. Here is my reason, the definition of a partner is - "either of a pair of people engaged together in the same activity." The Austro-Hungarians were NOT engaged together in the same activity as the Germans. The Germans were engaged in the activity of carrying out a war, the Austro-Hungarians were in the activity of fucking around doing everything to deprive their troops of Ammunition, Firearms, and Leadership. That is NOT a partnership. So to call them a Junior Partner or any sort of a partner is dark humor, of the worst sort.
