  1. BRICS sounds fine, until you realize that most of the economies that want to support it are 'dogs' while the 'stars' are sticking to the dollar. Also, the idea that the dollar is somehow a privilege for the US seems to forget that the dollarization of the world economy has strengthened the dollar to such a degree that the US is unable to export as much as it could pre 1940s. The strength of the dollar has actually been more of a burden than a privilege for the US. This is why the US actually support the de-dollarization of the world economy.
