Here is a thing, I understand that behaviour from a Ukrainian who literally has a personal connection to the atrocities of Russian government and is justified in its anger. But how the fuck some westerner who may not have even heard of Ukraine before 2022 is justified in his anger? Those people had no personal connection to it, but just the hatred which was permitted through larger broadcast of what Russia has done allowed themselves to retaliate with the psychological pain they were given by those news tenfold on those who have not committed the crime against them just because of their nationality. Let’s view back on WW2 when the Ukrainians and Russians under the Soviet banner were victims of Hitler’s genocide committed by the Germans. Later in 1945, the German nation received a retribution in a way that women were raped and hundreds of thousands POWs were sent to Kazakhstan or Siberia into camps. Hatred in the soldiers minds who went through burning fields of their homes was justified, but was it right to do just that? Was it right to pay back an exchange of terror? At some point things would have to get back to normal, and even those from a nation who beared arms against yours will have to manage a peace deal, to move back from hatred.
