@eywatafok 1. He destroyed Soviet Union (we lost a lot of territory). 2. There was a referendum in USSR for restoring it into USR (Union of Sovereignty Republics - with democracy, liberalism and land of USSR). Most of the people voted for "yes" (except of the Baltic States - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), but Eltcin with his friends wrote Belovezhsky agreements which restored USSR into a lot of independent countries. And Gorbachev was like "ok". That's why I hate him and a lot of other people. 3. Economy. It was destroyed by Perestroika. Socialistic factories made worse production than Western, and when Gorbachev said "I think that Western production must come into USSR now easier". And you what it did - everyone started buying Western production instead of Soviet, that made most of the Soviet factories unneeded, which made this factories firing employees, after that these employees started to be unemployed, which mean that they have now less or no money, which made them buying even less production and vicious round made.
