  27. I get the feeling a lot of has been actors are going this direction. Sylvester Stallone, Robert de Niro, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc. Not as bad a Segal has fallen, but they're on their downward spiral.

In my opinion, I think the most overlooked aspect of this movie was how remorseful Todd was because the love the community showed him broke through his programming to be a killing machine, but still he couldn't control it. His instincts were too strong. And as he pondered the loss of his community, he felt the emotional pain of that and shed tears for the first time in his entire life. He got rejected by his military unit, then he got rejected by peaceful civilians. But the civilians realized they were wrong and needed a warrior ik their midst. So Todd protected the right people because their care for him broke his programming. If they hadn't have done that with their kindness, he probably would have tried to rejoin the force that discarded him. So in a roundabout way, the peoples "humanizing" of Todd is what saved them.
