  18. @Ryan Penrod, because you don't understand reality. The ones who commit gun crime are never law abiding citizens. It's always felons, repeat offenders who get guns illegally and intend to do harm. Also a sweeping of gun crime is black and Mexican gang related. Bet you didn't know that. If we were to eliminate gangs, and take away all democrat gun free cities where the most gun crime happens (Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, st Louis, Washington DC) America's gun crime would rival that of Europe. And those cities have the most strict gun laws. What does that say? What mental gymnastics do you have to counter those things? Rather than blaming violent criminals and increasing security in vulnerable areas, you can only think of reactionary solutions like "disarm and punish all law abiding people and make every location vulnerable to attack and rely on a police force we hate to come save the day even though they rarely do". Also you should consider that MOST recent shootings have been due to the fact the feds knew about the shooters plan and did nothing. In Texas, the cops stood outside the school and didn't do jack shit while the shooter killed whoever. Where's your reprimand for the cops who did nothing to stop the killer? Why is your solution never to blame the people at fault? Why not blame bad parenting? Lack of community? Mental illness? The cesspool that is public school? Why don't you consider any factors that actually matter to form a real solution in your head? But no the answer is always "ban guns" like a good little NPC. My dad used to drive around with a shotgun as a 16 year old. So many people did 40 years ago and no shootings happened. It's because we don't have a gun problem. We have a society and a criminal problem.
