  4. Not only did the guards have guns, but the prisoners were likely so focused on their hunger and discomfort that they didn't have time to think about anything else. This is how things are in north Korea. People don't think about anything other than how to get through each day. They dont make plans for the future, they don't understand concepts like freedom, they don't get to philosophize or exercise their minds for anything other than slave labor, because they're driven mad by hunger.

  6. Massive cope. Imagine simping for a boot on your neck and restrictions on personal freedom. Public transportation is a joke. It's not about "need" it's about God given rights and liberty. If Russia is so spread out like you said with so much forest in between everyone, then car emissions would have made little difference. This is why western civilizations are far more prosperous AND clean. The US and Europe have far less pollution than Russia or China. Get your head out of your ass.
